Old Age Presser Member 75, 7745 posts SQ 0, BP 200, DL 200400.0 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | Ok. Arising out of a recent conversation, I'm 55 and still training hard. How many of you young guys see yourselves still training hard into your 50s? And on a side note, am I the oldest regular poster on here now that Silver Oldie has vanished and Barrie sadly passed away? I know I'm a month or so older than FatPete, and little_a looks older than me but he's not... I'm a February 1956 vintage btw.

A very experienced novice Member 1092, 1989 posts SQ 170, BP 125, DL 245540.0 kgs @ 88kgs UnEq | If I'm training when I'm 55 I'll have been training for 40 years, so I may get injured or bored of it somewhere down the line I guess

Member 1380, 182 posts SQ 240, BP 170, DL 260670.0 kgs @ 118kgs UnEq | I'm 52 and still training heavy (injuries allowing!!!).Recently pulled 300kg on 18" trap bar deadlift off blocks.Dont really know any other way to train.I'll keep training as long as my body keeps going.I have to keep adapting the way I train due to a disc problem in my lower back ,so I lift off racks or blocks at 18" high.Cannot see myself stopping training at all, unless my body tells me thats enough!Have to keep pushing them youngsters in the gym!!!!!

Eat.Cycle.Sleep.Win Member 2, 12511 posts SQ 190, BP 150, DL 280620.0 kgs @ 99kgs UnEq Administrator | I can see myself training for something but I wouldnt be sure that it would be lifting heavy. Cant really see me not training for something. I seem to be needing to be trying to improve at something, it's just my personality. I guess golf wouldn't really count though?

either Im a penis or Im not a penis Member 722, 2977 posts SQ 300, BP 220, DL 350870.0 kgs @ 123kgs UnEq | I will stop training the day I stop becoming competitive. I may change my sport in years to come to suit what I want out of life at the time. However, for the foreseeable future I have my mind and body set on one think to win the UKs and qualify for the Arnolds amateurs.
