Milsys slap was Grade A quality for sure.
Hehe, just banged some good ol folk music in, Dick Caughan
Hey WTF, first axle rep was missing, but never mind. I'll add it to the description bit.

Oh yeah, don't know how I managed to miss that. Pimp slaps are cool, you should just be grateful it was me doing it and not big Neil seeing as he wasn't there.

Well done boys, sounds like good fun.
Joni: and you should have known it would be "sooner", not "later" .

Thanks to everyone who put alot of effort into organising a great comp yesterday. Really enjoyed it and ecstatic with getting 1st place.
Liked the way Joni did his write up so heres my version:
Event 1: 100kg Axle, floor to overhead for reps, 120 seconds
Goal: 8 reps
Nailed: 7 1/2 reps, 1th place
Felt good, first five cleans went alright with the double overhand power cleans and then felt like the left hand was going so started the dead grip continentials. Felt like I could have gotten the 8th rep but then hit the windpipe with the bar and dropped it. Still happy with this result.
Event 2: Max 15 inch deadlift, raising bar
Goal: 290kg
Nailed: 280kg, shared 3rd place
Hit the 200kg feeler and felt good. Then got the 240, 260 and 280. 280 was a bit slow and then failed the 290 just above the knees.
Event 3: 320kg yoke for 11m in 30 seconds
Goal: sub 10s
Nailed: 6.39s, 1st place
Felt good, Andy told me that the last 6 steps were very dodgy. Felt myself leaning forward alot, and the knees were jolting alot. Very happy with the result though.
Event 4: 280kg frame carry up a ramp in 30s
Goal: sub 10s
Nailed: 6.40s, 1st place
Very lucky with this result, won by 0.03s. Was getting 8s with the 280kg for 10m on the flat during training so really surprised with this time.
Event 5: 50kg thick handle one-arm dumbell press
Goal: 1 rep
Nailed: 13, 1st place
Was going to stop at 10reps because I thought it was good enough for second place. Had about 35s left after 10reps so went for the win and got the 13th rep with around 2s to spare.
Event 6: reps with 115 or 135kg stone (any reps with 135 beat 115kg reps)
Goal: 6reps with 135kg stone
Nailed: 7 reps, 2nd place
Wanted to get the win on this event too. Got the 7th rep to get 2nd place and only had 5s left so left it at that.
Overall placing:
Goal: top 3
Nailed: 1st place!
