Thanks Guys, JLL I would love to get a single on 4 plates bro.I remember the first time a BB bro started talking to me about benching two and half plates with a biscuit on top I was nonplussed. Its clear having no plan is not a good plan on the C2 I know after doing the rathburn (I give myself 8 out of 10 for sticking to the plan) You are meant to have a break for a few weeks But I think I need to get back on a plan soon before I pernamnantly HD.

Last night I did 5 lacklustre 100's.

Today I thought (last minute) I would have a crack at 1k current worlds best 3.09.6 from 213 entrants. Inexplicably I HD after only 250m I did not even start fast I just did not have the willpower to carry on. Had a lie down and some deep thought and planned a 1k @24spm.

That was tough at the end and I went a bit over the intended SR but made me feel a little better about the HD.Would be 6th in current rankings.
Spent about an hour at a friends doing hand balancing and lifting the kids in all different fashions my back is groaning now.
It would be fair to describe the kids as small medium and large, I made the mistake of repping small overhead and then of course medium and large wanted a turn.....

Kids are great, but they can also be (very!) tiring Grin

Personally on the C2 I need a pretty rigid training structure with some solid goals to aim for. Without that I would drift / lose interest I think, I couldn't see me getting on the C2 and knocking out 4x15 min UT1 or 6x3 min TR without a program telling me to. I don't think there is anything wrong with just doing what you fancy when you fancy it for a while though, it should be more enjoyable for sure.

Oh and 180 would be fantastic, what are you weighing at the moment?

I knew If I started fast I would HD, between 900-350 HD was constantly on my mind with 350 to go I knew I could finish and possibly pb so dug in shortened the stroke did most of it eyes shut. Considering my recent mental fraility I am pretty happy with that maybe I could nip half a second off if brave enough to start a bit faster. Now to try to get through the day!!!

Great work jt, very nice pb! Must have been tough starting that with the HD demons in your head.

180 at 92kg would be quite something. I'd be tempted to up the bodyweight a little and do a small water cut, but that's just me Grin

I totally understand what Bim is saying to you about doing a routine. I'm going to get back on some form of the Rathbrn when this lovely weather starts to subside, which will hopefully be too soon! I could never imagine telling myself to do 8 x 4 TR, 3 x 10 AT or anything of the sort, but if the routine said that's what it is... that's what it is!

Mr Bim, I find when it is hot humid and I am tired the shorter low rate sessions are easier mentally and physically to do I only really start to suffer in the last quarter.

I don't like it.Grin The front press helps with a bit of balance.

I do fancy a bit of log every now and then.

Did you see Macroth's comp he did at the weekend? I would be tempted to do something like that just for the fun of it.

Both 500's were 39 strokes but the second one being a bit quicker annoyingly ticked over to 25spm! I had 10m left on the last pull I should of just left it to keep the 24spm and sacrifice a tenth or 2.
