Looking at my Pb from 7years back 15,836m 27spm I think I am in a much better place to crack on to the 16k However it all comes down to being ready to soak up the PAIN. Also I should really do 30mins and 10k first. Lots of upper body doms today.

ERG
10mins 2074m 2.24.6 14 100
10mins 2364m 2.06.9 18 120

3x10 hATe

2783m 1.47.7 25 155
2745m 1.49.2 27 160
2728m 1.49.9 25 160

5mins 1103 19 120

Same as last time rep 2 and 3 HR was maxed before halfway so I had to slow, legs and lungs although not exactly fresh would of been good to carry on faster at one point I was down to 1.55 to get HR under control

I had similar today with HR holding me back, it's tricky sometimes to stick to the plan but I think it's for the best. Lets you have a slightly 'easier' day for recovery when your HR is up. Good session anyway, glad I was on 8's and not 10's today!

Is this the video you were on about jt? Could you link to the one you mean if this isn't it, ta!

Bim, I think thats the one I watch them while washing up thats how I rock!

ERG 3x30UT2

7501m 1.59.9 20 136

7433m 2.01.0 19 136

7501m 1.59.9 20 138

Reasonably happy. Left shoulder playing up I will not be doing any more chins. (again)

I keep hoping for a breakthrough cortisone tablet, take one and all your joint pain vanishes.

Nice job on keeping the low SR.

One thing I noticed yesterday was my SR creeping up as the time went on. I need to try and not do that.

Thanks, I count my strokes it gives me something to concentrate on.

If you are doing a longer TT rating up can help to control your HR BUT if you are doing a long row HM up 30spm is going to be a ball buster after a while.

Couple of great sessions, nice last rep on the AN, the SR says it all Grin I start AN next week, I think it's the short rests I'm dreading the most.

Tired and grumpy today I could not face 5x12UT1

ERG 2x30UT1 (spot the difference)

7874m 1.54.3 23 146

7790m 1.55.5 21 148

A little less grumpy. More sleep less cricket.

5x12 UT1 does seem like a way to drag things out needlessly. Looks like a solid 2x30 was the right choice.

I think I don't have the right genes to truly understand and appreciate cricket. Grin I'm more familiar with the dumbed-down American version.

I'm actually looking forward to that AN session jt, almost flat out all the way and the whole thing will be over in 5 minutes! Decent pace on those 30's, I find them a fair bit tougher than the 12's, although I know what you mean, 5x12 is a lot of faffing about.

Excellent couple of sessions.

Macroth - if you’re referring to baseball, that has more in common with rounders than it does cricket.

A bit like comparing a diamond to a turd.(I would say this but know little about baseball it does not appear to have any of the subtlety of test cricket)

The USA do have an up and coming 50/20 over side made up mostly of Asians and the odd West Indian.
