Statically? Yeah he probably is.
Sports evolve, but the big two static monsters were Kaz and Z. Add Ed to the list now too and it's the big three.

Yea statically. Ed's most recent exploits put him ahead of Z/Kaz it must be said. Never seen anyone make such big weights look so insanely easy.

Griff coached me for my last meet. He's as knowledgeable as he is witty.

The Colonel had it in for you for some reason.

It started over my lacklustre approach to training and competing (which was alien to him) and the hate grew from there. And grew. And grew.

I like Griff a lot. First met him at a training session at WILLSAN's Farm, competed against him at 2 St Ives Strongest Man comps (beating him on 2 events at the first one Happy), and have seen him 3 times since.

I'll give you deadlift but Z in his prime is still a better squatter (he wasnt far off this year) And a much better presser.

The other and grew and grews made me loal so much I had to use a stack of Argos catalogues to pull myself back up. That rep meant I couldn't do my squat that night so I worked my finger extensors instead.

In comp performance would say yes much better, actual static strict press possibly not - Eddies inability to push press has him behind Z

Ed's axle at Euros was more impressive than anything Z has done overhead imo

He made the record look easier Than the previous weight. He's a freak!

I think 205 log for reps was the most impressive press ever. Ed is a monster, but Z is still the man at pressing.

I agree in comp z was a better presser but I wouldn't say a much better presser.
At Brits a couple of years back ed nearly had the 220 log locked out, z also failed that lift. And ed does hold the axle record, so I don't think there can be that much in it

Anyone know the heights the axle An log records were set at?

There isn't much in it. Ed and Hixxy are both amazing pressers and I think have the potential to hold pressing world records.
