I have seen that before. Shaw is the king. What an effort.

Brian Slinshaw is the strongest deadlifter in the world now
if he wants to break the record he will do it
but he wants WSM more

There was max dead at Arnold's, is at the deadlift comp and at WSM.
He will end up doing at least 2 of the 3. Not doing the deadlift comp isn't even a big deal this year. I still hope he does it.

Giants Live posted some clips earlier of Terry and Ed pulling on Facebook, and the usual comments started.
Someone piped up that Brian would win the comp, to which Terry replied "He's been invited"
I look forward to seeing if Brian turns up.

Terry is a good deadlifter but he's not there with the top guys, dont understand why he makes so much noise

Terry has said 475 is what he wants.

This is a stupid comment, because you didn't do it based on observation, or paying any attention.
Terry has pulled 440 back when that number was gold dust.
He's also pulled 450 in training and we expect that number to go up.
"top guys" He is an outstanding deadlifter.
For somebody who was recently written off because he lacked some publicity; people are in for a shock.

Terry has been looking strong in training but he'll be nowhere near 475kg! A 25kg improvement on your pb is a lot at the highest level, especially at his age and with him being injury prone. Benni on form will win. On his 460 form without straps he probably has 475 to 480 with straps and and I can't see anyone matching that. Benni has also only been training for this contest as well.
Ed looked really strong last year and you can't rule him out but the 500kg deadlift he's talking about is bulls**t.. just hype to sell tickets.. I know he won at the Arnold but Shaw looked way stronger and beat him at WSM too at the deadlift.. maybe that was just a blip, we shall see..
Shaw's deadlift looks so strong at the moment but I can't see him coming over here and risking injury so close to world's. Everything he does it so meticulous and well planned around the Arnold and WSM.
Benni for the win with 475 to 480.. Ed with 470 to 475 and pritchett 3rd with 455 to 460.. loz, Hollands and thor all close for 4th..

Too much hype around an arbitrary number that is a massive leap from the last 10 years progression imo. And it's not like they're some noob at his first comp where someone gives them some ECA, nose tork and a slap and they get another 5% on their gym PB off adrenaline. I'm going Benedict 1st Eddie 2nd.
Winning lift 470kg and both to attempt but fail to budge 500kg off the ground.

Hall is so f**king strong off the floor especially in a suit! He would have got 500kg to the knees last year IMO

If I'm remembering correct it's been an okie deadlift bar in the past.

I agree, I think locking the big weights out is more the issue for him. Him and Shaw are strong at opposing ends of the lift.
