My prediction-- 2-5 people will get 466kg Certainly Hall & Benni, Shaw if he's competing (not sure if that's confirmed or not?) and possibly one or more of Hollands, Pritchett and Thor. ...and that'll be it Hall & Benni will go straight for 500 and fail. No-one else will try heavier. | ||

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Brian Shaw and Thor both do African Arnold's this weekend(I think).. Will be interesting how the deadlift goes there. If Shaw looks 100% it will bode well for him maybe doing the comp. | ||

Ed has said he has done 480 in training before too, so he is coming in with confidence. Shaw can pull 450 plus (If he competes), as can Jerry P. I think a fully fit Loz could hit a new PB too. Thor surprised me last year with his pull, so I'd like to see him pull a bigger number this year. | ||

If they go for something 470-475 then I think Ed and Benni will both make it however if they jumps to 500 I think it wont budge for either of them. I don't think Shaw will compete and I don't think Thor will improve his PB unless its by a kg or so. | ||

I can't see it either. it just seems crazy to think the same people (ed,benni) who've been eeking out small increases since andy's 1000 pound pull 10 years ago, will be suddenly find 35kg on the day. I'm sure it'll still be an amazing contest regardless, hopefully as amazing as your delightful new avatar. | ||
