Good BB, but no thanks! lol

Benching today but a bit weary after a gig last night!

Cannabil Corpse; Good headbanging stuff though!

19/2/09

Bench press;
barx20
70x5
85x5
100x5
120x3 (shirt on)
140x2
160x3
160x3

3 board press (raw, comp grip);
140x3
150x3
160x3

Bench press (+doubled super-mini bands)
70x3
70x3
70x3

Lying band pullaparts- superminx10, 2xsuperminisx10x2

Good session today. Still not got the timing and speed there but an improvment from last week. It was alos gratifying that the last set of 160 it finally came together and the best set of the day.

Board work was solid. However I was using my mates mini bands for a bit of speed work at the end, but quickly discovered they were super-minis. A big difference in tension, and made what was meant to be uber light and fast into somewhat less so! Good all the same.

hahaha I was gonna say, Westside guys don't even use super-minis too often Grin

I'm impressed you were hitting those pullaparts; I found the 2 minis damn hard! felt good on the upper back though

My upper back was burning lol

Cheers Phil

Todays malarky;

20/2/09

1/2 squat (to pins, done in biomech lab with a s**t bar lol);
42.5x1x2
85x1x2
120x1x2
167.5x1x2
210x1x2
252.5x1x2

Squats (unequipped);
120x3
140x3
160x2
180x2
200x2

Paused squats (beltless);
140x3
150x3
160x2

Tough lifting today. After the lab work didn't have much in me. I died quick, and just managed some solidish work. Plus my arms felt rapped after the partial work. Although the prescription pain killer I found in my bag helped after (was my Dads after he had a bike crash a few years back lol). I am sure it'll be okay for next thurs benching. Ce la vie etc.

24/2/09

Sumo deadlift;
70x6 (suit on, straps down)
120x3
160x3
180x1
200x1 (straps up)
220x1
245x1
245x1
245x1

Ultra sumo (straps down);
220x1
220x1
220x1

Deadlift (narrow stance);
200x1
220x5

Roman sit up- 5kg med ball behind neck x20x2

Plank- 60sx3

Good session today. Was really in the groove for the last two singles at 245. Went conservative on the ultra's with just singles, then finished with one hard set of narrow conventionals. Didn't feel as thrashed as last week so all's good.
