Well a session about niggles and time limits.

Hip flexor/adductor still sore and taking it toll a bit of the squats. Warmed up and although had to be a bit slow yielding however 2nd rep was always better and bar speed was decent. Felt easy enough. Biggest hamper was people wanting to talk to me about s**t. Topics were; what to do for biceps, and why do you put a poster on the mirror. TBH I am too nice to tell people to f**k of so I lost a set or so there. Finished on 4 instead of 6 on the squats. Left arm very sore too.

Straight into deads. Moved pretty nice. Did the working sets with 1min rest. Again starting to feel like 185kgs.

Had little time left. My arm was very sore. Shoulder sore so dropped. Bench occupied so dropped the bench work and just did some lighter db work en lue.

Need to keep an eye on both leg and shoulder niggles. May have to reduce volume on meet tech and make up with variations eh high bar mod stance and CGBP.

Good session. The start of this weeks 6s.

Bench was tough. Struggling with my groove for some reason. However I still have some good robust strength there. Happy to get 5 sets of 6 done. Def a load/rep/set pb. Tbh after the first set thought 3 sets would be a win so happy to get 5 done. Def some tng needed on some reps in set 5! So happy with the work even though not 100% happy wity tech and groove.

Deads were good as expected. Hard work on grip and the old ticker but not much of any slowing in bar speed. Worked the grip mind. Bit of a forearm pump going down.

Squats were nice. I knew this hip flexor sorness would poss stop me doing meet tech and plan be was just more high bar. On the spot decided to move stance in, but keep the low bar. Worked a treat. Groove was nice and the work was no harder than it would have been with wider stance. Could fed feel quad working more through middle phase of the lift.It has probably helped by doing some high bar work recently. Battle plan is to stick with this stance and see how it goes. At very least it may give the flexor/adductor some rest. Although still some stress on the area.

Finished with some high bar paused work. Just took my stance in a tad. Used bigger pauses than last few sessions, and finished on a nice and solid 180 without a problem. Pretty close to a full ROM.

In other new GBPF South Midlands Divisional is on 12th of Jan. Bit early for my liking and not much notice but hey how. Needs a slight change of plan. Instead of going into a 3 week loading phase I am going to repeat the,last 3 week volume phase with just some extra load on each lift. Then after that the loading phase to lead me into the meet. Looking forward to it!

Good session.

Squats went well hitting all the reps with some gas in the tank. Still getting used to the stance in but moved well all in all. Also played with have poss. Just am inch or so but what felt good last sess didnt feel as good today so did most work in my normal just last the rings.

Decided to just see where deads were. Good move hit a solid 240. Could have done more but happy with a load that beat me 3 weeks ago.

Benching was hard once got to 140. Could feel thurs 6s! Another bit of daily max before some v light work.

Next week is low volume overall before starting a 6 week phase that will take me to divisional champs in Jan.

Start of a low volume, daily max style week, before I kick of another volume phase towards meet in Jan.

Happy with squat but I lost a little control in the hole and made a little more of it than should have. Still using this more mod stance. Apart from that wobble very happy with the singles prior and post 220.

Next up playing wity some SLDL. This will be a main training varient after the meet. 220 was pretty hard, but didnt have best set up poss. Had bar pretty much over the foot knuckle same as I do when I deadlift. Too far out for the SLDL. Bar was hanging out there till pulled back onto my thighs. PB is 240 on this so happy with a close to max 220 today with a tougher feeling tech.

Finished on the incline just to give shoulder a rest. Felt a bit weird Tbh as not used to incline. Big pauses on singles. 120 wasnt far of my max today.

Nothing in the tank this thurs. Was tired, some lack of sleep and fighting off a cold.

Warming up went okay. Then as soon as I hit a mod single everything went in slow motion.

Most I could say for this session was it was some lifting in the bank.

Very nice session.

First round of squating not as sharp as Mondays. However much better than thurs!

Bech much better to. Had to slow down eccentric due to gammy left arm but tech and strength was decent all things considered.

Finished with meet style tech in the squat with belt. Moved very well. Happy as,it shows that I can go from beltless and shoulder width stance to my meet tech and still lift well quickly. 230 felt opener territory. Happy days.

Cheers. Pretty good Tbh. I get the occassional minor stiffness in there. However its at a level id pay no mind to if o hadnt been injured. Plus its on the less 'serious' side of ky back. Still taking it carefully and have my re-hab drills that are still on going.

Tough session back to the volume work and under a time limit. Hence the supersetting of bench and deads.

Back doing my Monday sessions down crossfit Solent. They have some metal plates now which should cater for most loads I need.

Playing with oly shoes at the start if squats. Went okay, but felt better in flats. I will continue to feel out the oly shoes again during this 3 week volume phase.

Bench and deads went well superseted. It got the heart going! I will have to do this most Mondays I train here. Tbh for what I have planned should be fine. This sess I kept my oly shoes on for deads. However when I do harder sessions I'll quickly swap.

Both squat and bench are on a x3 a week smolov Jr style phase whilst deads are x3 a week RMR phase. I'll peak to my divisionals with all 3 lifts on an RMR intensity phase.

Squats will be beltless during this 3 weeks if volume and with at least nearly all work with a mod stance. Later is to save my hip flexor/adductor niggle. When the peaking phase starts I'll put the belt on and take my wide, meet stance on all heavy sessions.

Next full sess tom will be 3*10 bench. 3*6 dead and 4*8 squat. Squats will be fun at the end. Will probably try a higher bar poss to take stress of niggles in the arms

Box jumps- 3*4 (half with no counter movement

Plyo- push ups to boxes- 3*4 (half of med ball)

So starting to introduce a little plyoesque type session Tuesday night at work.

Keeping it simple and low vol and slowly build up. Although its always going to be a small quick session.

For lower body will just work the vid jumps. Used a circa 30" box. Wont increase height, but will increase vol slowly. After that will prob just use harder jump varients rather than height. Just have crappy fitness steps so going high would be too risky.

For press doing the plyo press ups onto a box. Just used one step of a couple if inches. Did niggle my gammy arms, but not too bad. Take it slowly and see if they toughen up to the movement. I may try and work out if I can do a med ball chest pass. However doing it in a small dance classroom so cannot throw the med balk at a wall! But may be able to sort out some matting.
