Squat- 180x2, 190x2, 200x2, 210x1
Platform pulls (bar touching laces)- 180x5, 200x5, 220x3

Tough session today. Having written it down it dosn't look much but I am absolutly wiped out now! Didn't feel 100% at start but had to crack on. Still solid session. Wanted 210x2 but not gona happen today, but still happy with a 210x1 fatigued and not at my best. Platform pulls were kinda fun but exhausting. They were off a block twice as big as I normally do them from so pretty happy with my top tripple.

Anyway of camping in the Lake District tomorrow for 9 days off taking it pretty easy and trying not to get too wet!

Nice platform deadlifts. I was hoping to get up to 230x2x2 and I think I would have got it had it not been for the injury. Remains to be seen now. But bar touching laces - that's a pretty high platform! Can you really keep your back straight pulling that low? I usually have the bar about 2 inches higher than that.

TBH Tokar I am not 100% how straight my back was but it felt pretty good. I can get under the bar quick and uprightish. My hamstrings where the body part I was really feeling the tension in. Going to continue with the 'big' platform pulls'

One more day of rest and back to the gym to bench on monday.

Bench press- 120x3, 130x2, 120x3x3
Chin ups- 5x5

Was gagging to get back to them gym... but I don't know why as I had a s**t session Tongue Was going to do some decent tripples but 130x2 was the best I could manage. I felt weak as a kitten with nought in the tank. Did some lighter tripples some half-hearted chins and got the hell out of there!!

I have a shrewd guess why i wasn't great. Prior to my hols I had dieted a little loosing 2 kg (morning weight 92.5 down to 90). Then a fairly active holiday including walking 2 small mountains and s**t diet depeleted me even further and I weighed in at 87.5kg this morining! No probs I know how to solve this, eat like a bas***d this week Tongue

lol. I guarantee most of that is in your head.Wink

Mate, what's your diet generally like? I'm hovering around 90ks almost exactly, but I'm a tubby one at that - far too much alcohol consumption. I'm gonna cut that right back and hope my weight will go down a nudge, yet strength continue to rise; is that possible?!

Christ, I sound like a total newbie. Can you cycle creatine?

LOL I new that was coming!!!! Wish it was in my head!

As for my diet I normally eat approx 4500kcal plus. At the upper end I'll put weight on. However I was getting around the 93 mark so decided to cut back before my comp. I was down to 90 with no ill effects. The holiday tipped me over the edge!

I used to drink alot as a student and stil progressed. But would have done better without the 3-4 piss ups a week! Now I couldn't get drunk once a week. Hits me too hard now!

Deadlifts (+belted light band)- 140x3, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200x1, 210x1, 220x1, band off- 230x1
Leg extensions- 15x3
Leg raises- 10x3
Grippers

Nice session today. A good block of speed/tech work against the bands (approx 30-40kg of tension at top) followed by a couple of mod-tough singles. Shouldn't have bothered with 230 minus belted band as I was too fatigued to pull it fast enough, but a good session of pulls overall. Then as it was morining and I could still taste my 1st coffee of the day I got lazy and did some extensions for my light quad work, but got back to form with some straight leg raises and grippers. I feel that bit more like my normal self today in the gym.

4500 calories a day?! Damn, your metabolism must be fast if you can eat that and stay around the 90kg range. I think I'd balloon if I ate that much.

I'm gonna cut right back on the alcohol and see where that takes my BW. Yeah, gone are my student days where I could have a session and then feel absolutely fine the next day!
