This morning was pulldowns (too weak for chins) for 5 sets of 10, the overhead dumbell press again 5 sets if 10 (12kg dumbells) and some bent over rows, 3 sets of 10 with 30kg and 1 set x 10 with 40kg

All aboard the gains train!

Yesterday was bench and deadlifts

Bench Press 20x10, 30x10 and 40x10 (4sets)
Deadlifts 50x10 (4 sets) 60x9

Today was
Standing Press 20x10, 30x10 (4 sets)

Front Squats (really hard)
20x10 and 30x8 for 2 sets (couldn't manage anymore sets)

Pause squats 30 x 8 for 2 sets

Hack squats - nothing x 10 and 10kg x 10 for 4 sets

Both days were devastating -
It's going to be a long journey

Yesterday was a some accessory type stuff -
Pulldowns with a wide parallel grip 5 x 10
45 degree hypers 5 x 10
Tricep EZ bar extn 5 x 10
Cable rows 5 x 10

Today was -
Bench Press
20 x 10
30 x 10
40 x 10 (3 sets)
50 x 8 (2 sets)

Deficit Deadlifts with Fat gripz (birthday present!)

Bar x 10
40 x 10
50 x 10 (4 sets)


It's clear that this will be a very long and slow process, this is not like an injury where a few weeks of training sees big jumps in strength.

Thank you guys for the support, on one hand it's wonderful to be able to move about and get to the gym - on the other it's frustrating being this weak.

I'm enjoying going to the gym though - also enjoying not being dead.

"Stubborn c**t" was the delightful phrase used by my normally polite friend, after one of my near death experiences.

Long weekend off - I've been doing some "air squats" as the crossfit community would say - sets of 10 throughout the day, just to remind my body that I would like it to get used to exercise as opposed to sitting in a bed - and also to pump a little blood through my skinny legs.

Went to the gym this morning

Standing press
20 x 10
30 x 10 (5 sets) - first set had every rep power cleaned
35 x 6

Deadlifts
60 x 10 (5 sets)

Pleased to get my first "1 plate a side" exercise done.

Dropping the reps somewhat and sneaking the weight up, along with less days at the gym.
