The US army recovery program looks good, if a little cautionary, that would probably be good for yourself, who will want to do log 4 weeks after out of a sling

Nothing left in the tank. Member 5, 25564 posts Administrator | Post Edited: 10.10.2008 @ 09:40 AM by Boar joni , how did they reattach your tendon if it came clean off at the bone ? also , can you work with the other arm or are you not risking further imbalance ? as kb / db one arm swings would get you blowin like a train

The risk is to retear the weak tendon attachment if you move too fast. Basically what they did was they drilled some holes in the bone, put these hooks in it, and used stitches to attach the tendon to it, and then the tendon will heal and attach to the bone, and i presume these hooks and stitches melt away? dont actually know Thats why it is so fragile now and i have to be content with the wanky exercises and keep the arm in a sling eventhough it feels fine. So i dont think i can do swings yet - too much movement, but will defo add stuff like that in when i get a go ahead from the physio. I am already very imbalanced, but f**k it. Many people say that the imbalance will correct itself quickly - quicker if i keep on training the other side.

If you know what I mean? i wouldnt know 100% but as far as i understood it they dont place the tendon head in any hole, but rope up the tendon with the sticthes and then pull it to the bone, tie it to the bone and let the tendon attach to the bone on its own. this is a image of a similar surgery, you can see the stitching on the right how they are pulling it from the left to the right: http://www.vesalius.com/graphics/cf_procedures/pec_tendon_rupt...

Boys looked mighty strong though, The Dungeon, breeding place of beasts. my session was largely spent faffing around with the hip belt - just cant get it to f**king work and feel ok. Basic problem is that usually it is used by people with back problems, so they can use their hands to get the loading in in place etc, whereas me as one arm bandit cant do f**k all. Hip belt squats with loading pin 10x15 10x30 10x40 10x50 with barbell 10x40 10x50 10x60 10x70 10x75 rolling thunder, right only of course 1x40 1x50 1x60 fx65 1x65 1x65 2x65 3x65 4x65

always lookIng for the extra UT2 work. Member 9, 18279 posts SQ 210, BP 167.5, DL 260637.5 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | Was good to see you today Joni. You'll soon be back at it smashing PB's, just keep doing what you've got to do til then. I have an idea for the hip belt squat too. You could stand on the bumpers inside the rack with a gap between them for the barbell to go through. The barbell would rest on the pins, when you are ready to squat you lift it a couple of inches off the pins, someone pulls the pins out, you do your set and the pins are then put back in to rest the bar on. Get that? What do you reckon?

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | Milsy - thats a great idea!!! cant wait to give that a try. Could even stand on a platform, the plates will not hit that anyway and it would be stable and safe. JC - even when arm is out of the sling, i cant move anything heavy with it for couple months so i fear this faffing around will continue for quite some time WILLSAN said: how did you find the pin vs the bar methods? I could never get on with the bar. both felt f**ked mate. How did you do the pin method? As in, to be able to get deep enough i needed to stand on a high stack of plates, but getting on the plates with the weight hanging was a pain, or to squat deep and attach the belt in the bottom position. Just couldnt get it to work. milsys idea sounds like a good one though, will try that next time and get some proper squatting done! yesterday: morning weigh in: 108.5kg fast paced walk - 6 miles, 80 mins, 760 calories I walk about 60 mins per day anyway, but that was a walk with the aim to get the heart rate up and sweat going, so it warrants logging
