Inspired by the beating of some kid in a previous thread, do you guys have particular 'rituals' that you feel you need to do before a lift?

I don't normally lift until I feel like a shiver throughout my body, then I have a swig of water and hope I don't f**k up. Not really anything 'special', but at least its better than getting the s**t kicked out of me.

I used to scream and shout and hammer the nose torque

These days at comps it a case of keeping myself to myself pace around until my coaches shouts your up next then it's a case if switching it on no backing out no doubts just focus a few grunts a slap on the back to get the adrenaline going

I have to nod my head twice and my knuckles need to be cracked

If I grab the bar I can tell if they arnt so I have to push the ends of my fingers into the bar an bend the fingers to crack them

In a comp it's headphones in, favourite tunes to get me psyched up, when it's time then it's some nose tork and slaps.

In the gym, rarely but when's it's heavy or for a PB then it's tork and slaps.
