I started this competition when u90kg Strongman was in its infancy and there was maybe 3 u90kg comps a year nationwide .. I have made an effort with u90kg Strongman i think most who have competed at my comps agree BUT in my honest opinion u90kg Strongman hasn`t moved of from where it started. Will putting on another CarPark comp contribute to the growth of this sport ? No it won`t . There are now u90kg comps in every corner of the UK so plenty of opportunity to compete . As a under 90kg Strongman the pinnacle would be Warner/ Sadler`s "Europes Strongest Man" as seen on Eurosport . These are the guys who will take it forward. I think both myself and Ben France will pass over the Englands u90kg Back to ELITE strongman next year as well . BUT long live u90kg ! Everyone keep training hard ! Mark | ||

Dragons comps are amongst some of my happiest memories. Competing with my son in his first comp was one of my proudest moments as a father. I f**king practically cried when he did his stone run.The banter and camaraderie between the lads was everything that's good about U90k strongman. Met some great blokes and Boar through these comps. I for one am sad that the legacy cannot continue but I fully understand Mark's position and I'd like to thank him again for putting these comps on giving an scrawny old git like me the chance to live out his childhood dream of being a strongman  | ||

 not particularly well educated Member 85, 10990 posts SQ 170, BP 130, DL 260560.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | the 2 dragons comps i took part in were just fantastic , really well run, superb atmosphere and great camaraderie between the competitors.The buzz around u90k strongman at the time was incredible and i think a lot of that was created by the success of the dragons comps. sad to hear there will be no more but all good things come to an end. I particularly enjoyed Tonys legendary athletes briefing before dragons 1, and the banter between competitors on sugden prior to the comp.( Andy littler taking about 3 hours to make weight was pretty amusing too) | ||
