Monday 2/8/10
More De-loadness.......
Bottom Position squats
Bar x 10
60kg x 8
100kg x 5
140kg x 1
160kg x 1
180kg x 1
190kg x 1 (5kg p.b)

Band Pull thrs
2 sets of 20 reps

Kroc Rows
20kg x 10
40kg x 8
60kg x 13
60kg x 13

Reverse crunch with heavy band x 3 sets of 23 reps

I know i'm supposed to be taking it easy, but i was feeling strong and allready pretty well rested, so i thought i'd go for a p.b. Kept everything else light, and the volume low. Another easy session on wednesday, then 2 days rest and a BIG one on saturday.

Wednesday 4/8/10
Last of the de-loads. just couldn't be arsed today though. Felt like staying in bed all morning

Push Press
Bar x 10
40kg x 8
60kg x 2
75kg x 3
75kg x 5
75kg x 5
75kg x 5

Dips
5 sets of 20 reps (under a min rest between sets)

Standing overhead lockout (from forehead height)
bar x 3
40kg x 3
60kg x 3
70kg x 3

Lat flyes
7kg 2 sets of 20

Still getting pain in my shoulder's and bicep/elbows from push's, even when going light. Widen'd my grip a litle on the last set and that seemed to help a bit, although i'll have to try it with a heavier weight to see if it will be any good.
Liked the feel of the lockouts, tempted to substitute push press's for these, but not sure if training with a limited r.o.m would be good in the long run.

OSG on saturday, Deadlift, conans, yoke and stones........ who's coming?

Do you get the pain when the bar is resting or just after the push?

little bit of both but mainly in the rack position. I think my monkey arms are way too long to squeze under the bar.

you should rest the bar on your shoulders chest / biceps should be loose before the psuh

That makes sense. When my hands were wider, my biceps were more relaxed and the bar rested better on my shouler's/chest better. Will work on it more next week, cheers shane.

Cheer's Boar. Will most likely go for the 270 yoke, pretty sure i could eek it to 10m
(lovin the new slogan btw, although i don't think i'll live up to that!!)

Session at OSG
Met loads of really cool guy's today. sorry if i don't remember all your names next time i see you. Boar is a gentelman, and Shane is crazy strong!

Deadlift
(hook grip no belt)
70kg x 5
120kg x 4
170kg x 3
210kg x 1
(hook grip belt)
230kg x 1
250kg x 3 (tripled my 1 rep max!!)
Wasn't sure how the 250 was going to feel, but the first rep seemed to go easy enough so i thought i'd carry on.

Yoke
140kg x 40m
140kg x 40m
200kg x 30m (1 turn)
220kg x 30m (1 turn)
220kg x 30m (1 turn)
Second set of the 220 felt much better than the first thanks to jc's and boar's help. Should get better with more practice.

Stones to 48"
103kg x 1
110kg x 1
120kg x 1 (P.B)
135kg x 1 (P.B)
Nearly passed out on the 135, the guy's said it lokked like i was trying to make love to the stone lol, but i was in a weird slow motion matrix style world for a few seconds, then i felt fine!!

Had a great day, well worth the 4 hour's of driving....knakerd now though.
