Wednesday 28/7/10Back was feeling pretty crap yesterday and today. Must have tweaked it doing them horrible famers walks on monday. Was very close to not training today but being stupid i did.
Deadlifts
(hook grip no belt)

(belt, alt grip)

Felt harder than i would have liked, but form was ok, no hitching or ramping.
Front squat

Tough, knees and lower back were feeling these big time!!
Weighted pullups

Massive failure on the stones today. Back had just had enough. I really didn't want to de-load this close to the comp but i'm going to after today's s**t ses. Here's the plan for the next week. De-load friday,monday and wednsday, and then a big ses at the olympic strongman gym on the saturday (if boar or anyone else is still up for it) consisting of deadlifts, conans,yoke and stones.

Wicked mate. Will look foward to it! Gona rest up untill next week now (only light sessions untill then) and we can smash the stones!
Don't know about an easy 260 deadlift, i'll be chuffed if i can pull that though.

Log clean & Press

85kg x 1
95kg x 1 (p.b unfortunately)
100kg x f
65kg x 3
D.B Bench Press
20kg x 10
30kg x 10
30kg x 10
30kg x 10
Finished with neck work
Form on the log is cack. After watching these sets back,i can see i have no explosive power. Just seem to dip down,then up and then press.
This, and all my other weakness's like moving with weights, cleaning and overhead pressing are going to be delt with over the next couple of months. Going to have a change around in my routine, take out all the fluff that i don't need, get back to the regular de-loads (1 every 6 weeks) and start makning some real progress.
Feeling a tonne better after just todays de-load, 2 more to go.

I know i can get 100x1, just a confidence and form issue.

I don't know how you do it but taking a wider stance pointing your toes outwards and looking up verticle, then popping the legs and driving your headforward really helped get my log up...... bit of tech tweaking might help mate

Sled pulling. First time doing this for what seems like ages. Havn't been able to do it recently beause i've beem working sat/sun mornings. Was raining so thankfully it made it a little easier. Did 16 runs (7 fowards,7 backwards).

About 7:30. Like to do it on an empty stomach, and when no body is around. Used to get funny looks and comments when i did it in the afternoon which after a while wears thin.
