My goodness just throwing this out there.does anyone else think that if Labour had held power for the last six years and held the referendum the outcome would have been different? Second a most concerning question...ukip have no doubt gathered momentum in the last few year and with Labour blowing itself apart and Tories at war and the previous leader of country quoted as saying "why should I do the hard s**t" (apparently) is it possible through ignorance that ukip could come to power? | ||

I never voted for the Blair government because there was little difference. Corbin has given the disenfranchised hope for a fairer UK.I want my children to not have to jump through hops for mediocre jobs.I dont care how we get there...its the bigger picture. You and I cuddles are very well educated. However, I'm looking at overarching themes and how the majority of people 'feel'. But given how they treated Corbyn, on a vast mandate from the membership, since day one, they'd have zero trouble ignoring this result. Equally, the Tories wrote into law that you couldn't call a strike, even for a day, on less than 40% of voters eligible. This is far more important and it was 37%. (And if we're actually concerned about the will of the people, after how many immediately publicly regretted their protest vote, how quickly the major planks of the Leave campaign have been admitted to be lies, and how obvious and immediate the economic effects have been, nobody doubts that another referendum would go "in" - which is why the leavers are so very opposed.) | ||

I think things we havnt even thought of are going to crop up.Then if it doesn't work out the remainers can say "Told you so" as I'm sure they will take every opportunity to do so but I think it's way to soon to say anything of the sort. | ||

As financial services contribute 22% of our gdp the potential depth of damage is potential depression let alone recession making, however much we all hate banksters. And this is my biggest opposition to all this 'leave' voting - the economic risk not any love of eu bureaucracy. The likes of gove repeatedly said 'ignore experts' - this type of crass anti-intellectualism is quite astounding, usually the domain of the most extreme left or right wing (see Cambodia, nazi germany for prime examples). The referendum is only an advisory - well we've effectively pulled the trigger in a room full of random angled surfaces and can see the richocheting bullet is likely to hit us in the head, now is the time to duck. | ||
