Is that the record? In terms of streak and total wins?

According to Wikipedia, yes

Just got back and really enjoyed it. Was very well run, good arena, a few dodgy reffing decisions imo, originally deducted Paul 2 seconds for sliding with the yoke (Magnus), then hall done it once and not a word was said. Seemed to credit Paul with his original time eventually though looking at the results when they came up, hopefully was off the back of someone mentioning it Ed got away with it. Hicks was majorly hard done by (Magnus again) on the forward hold, saw athletes who come before him holding it miles lower and he was letting it go, then hixxy was penalised for been low when he looked perfectly horizontal, walked off fuming by the looks of it.
Terry was great tonight, seemed a lot happier in himself than he normally portrays, was great to see him podium.
Paul set a new world record for the forward hold, but they didn't once mention what the time was. Got to get a worlds invite off the back of tonight, fully deserves it.
Ed didn't seem himself, obviously had a niggle going on, but wasn't his usual loud and showman type personality tonight, felt like we rarely saw him, literally done his events and went back inside, just seemed different, but still bossed it.

Apart from the couple sat next to us who f**kin reeked all night whilst one was in and out of sleep and the other was knitting it was a great night. And no, they weren't old, 40 at most!

Tbh I thought Magnus was consistently strict. I do feel he's stricter than the other ref (is it Dave Warner)
Smiths slide was twice and he seemed to run with it whilst it was dragging on the floor. Not intentionally I don't think just seemed to rush/panic as he was doing so well. To me Eddie looked more like a lunge for the line than a slide.
Loz has already got his place at worlds due to him making the final last year, he said so in his vlog on YouTube

That was eddies other 'slide'. Which yeh everyone does a little one over the line. The one I'm talking about was about 2/3 through the course

Buzzing for hixxy. Looked solid and pushed eddie.
Bish looks like he is going to be very very good and with paul, bish and tom coming threw its looking good for British strength. Not sure what happened with tom was he injured?
Fair play to terry aswell i like many other wrote him off from doing any damage so well done.

Hixxys yoke was unbelievable
Obviously well done to eddie aswell. He will 100% be at worlds one day again

Hicks is good, fit and strong.

Hall pressing wasnt on point i think. Is he still challengin the world record? And why still carries so much size for local shows? Terry and Hicks look much healthier.

Apart from Hall winning..i didn't see all that coming : Hix in great shape, Terry winning loading and placing on podium, Stolman bros not placing. Paul is just a smidging away from the podium,Felix not placing. We currently have some damn fine strongmen in this country.

I don't understand why he's kept the weight on either, losing weight was the reason he was going to just do national comps?!
Leads me to think he might be doing worlds again?

He's going to try Worlds again. They want the defending champion there and he will be rewarded as such.

He will need to seriously improve, as Thor is on a whole other level with his prep!

Bryce and crew know hes not healthy. In the poadcast he said during WSM prep doctors said him he was very close to heart attack, kindey and livers numbers were sky high, panic attacks every day. So paying him money to compete and go again through all these things is not saluted.

If that's the case, he needs to think of his family. He isn't even 30 yet.

Maybe after WSM 18, he will diet

He said he is contracted to 2019.

I thought Hall did well, not his best form but he has 3 months to build-up into that. Look how the likes of Z improve in a few months before a big comp.

I saw his log event..his 4th log looked easy.

still , he is quite young so should become a fixture at the top over the next 10 years.

Bish is one of my faves too. He should still get an invite to WSM though.
