'Sigh' this was the toughest session ive had in a while energy wise, was going to start with some strict press but shoulder was very sore...impingement returns! cracked on with fronts, dizzy at the top of every set until 150, 2nd rep was tough but never in doubt, overall pretty happy given the lack of energy.

Good to get some rep effort work in, was shooting for 8 on fronts but grip fatigue hit me, was shooting for 10 on strict press but my shoulders had other ideas!

Cant remember the last time i had a bad sesison, which is nice! Clean are feeling strong and im not at a limit, but if i want 150-160 territory i think i need to fronting 200 and be increasing my training frequency on cleans.

Thanks for the input mate, i think i will be ok if im honest just need to stretch. Im going back to uni end of sep so will continue training everday and trying to squeeze the most out of training until then. I dont think squatting once a week is enough for me.

Narrow miss on the 180 front, im sure with a bit more consistent work i can blast through that and more, closeys were a solid set....still a way off my best (150x2) but creeping back up now. Back squats felt weird (been a while) will transition to alot more back squatting now, looking for some pbs there given the 15kg increase on my front!

Feeling pretty good given 10 days out of the gym, squats were solid, will stick to singles for a few weeks and leave the belt until load dictates i need it. Gonna keep working away for a 100kg strict press.

Mate of mind is doing a frontie smolov and is loving it...

Cheers Iain, i think double bodyweight on the front would be solid (190 in my case), interested to see what sort of carryover i can get in the coming months.

frontie smolov.....that sounds disgusting....my wrists wouldnt take it!
