well my mate put a vid of my lifts in competitions...i just wanted a 610 total really without hurting my shoulder squatting or benching so my original plan was squats 220/230/pass, bench without a shirt 140/150/pass, deadlift 240/pass/pass when i saw the earlier judging i dropped my squat opener to 210, after two warmups idropped it to 200. I went 200 fail, 200 , 220 fail the weights felt easy depth problems. next up bench 140, 150, pass. shoulder held out had to bench slowly though fast and it goes even with a light weight. so i needed a 260 dead to get my total i went 240,260,270 fail. so i got my 610 british masters total for next year a lot of work to do though. bench and deadlift will be ok, squat i am going to have to work on Happy

Well off to spain tommorow so had a workout just to blow off the cobwebs...squats barxmany,65x5,105x3,145x3,wraps on 185kgx3 easy but need to wear suit bottoms in future. bench barx20,65x5kg,85x5,105x3,125x3,140x3,105x15. sumo deads 65x3kg,105x3,145x3. standing milataries 45x3,65x3,85x3kg. done...my next major comp will be the britsh masters in march, so need to get shoulder right to get bench shirt onCool

well had a couple of weeks off, holidaying in spain,travelling with lads to belgium. shoulder feels better for the rest so starting a new bench routine outlined by one off them good american benchers.
a little tweaked as volume too much at mo.
bench press 20kgx20,65x5,85x5,105x3,125x3 then work sets 140x4 went for three, got four easily so move up 2.5 next week, 130x6 five the goal got six so add 2.5 next week , 120x6 move up next week , 110x6(this set all paused) move up next week.
incline dumbell 40kgx 8,7 not done these for ages suprising how your strength goes the 60kgs were a b**ch weight for me three or four years ago. that was it shoulder feels good. martin and myself got explained this routine by the yanks, the difference after working up to a max triple, paul aims for ten reps rather than the fives i went for. we will see how it goes as it will be raw for a while now. right off to my disco dancing class

squats...all raw 20kgx10,65x5,85x5,105x3,145x3,165x1,185x1,200x1(lads said not deep enough)105kg 5x5. will do equipped up to a triple then 5x5 raw for assistance work starting next weekHappy

well had to have a couple of weeks off training got back into it this week. wednesday bench and assistance.....bench 65x5,85x5,105x3,130x3,145x3,135kgx5 rope pushdowns 4 sets of 10 on 70 done. friday sumo deadlifts 75x5,115x5,155x3,195x1,220kgx5, under hand bent rows 2sets of 8 at115kg, strict standing shoulder press 50x3,65x3,80kgx3,65x8 done
