I have the flexibility of an arthritic pensioner I definitely need to follow Neil's advice of stretching 3 times a day and foam rolling daily. Bodyweight squats help loosen my lower body (Thanks Nails ![]() I can't get the hang of the cat stretch ![]() Hopefully the stretching routine i've developed helps my ailing deadlift! | ||

Seated Barbell Press - 40kg x 15 60kg x 10 80kg x 5 Reps PB ![]() 100kg x 2 Reps PB ![]() 105kg x 1 PB ![]() Possibly 110kg there but thought i'd leave it as 105kg was a bit of a grinder but that is a lot higher than I went before as I think before I only got up to about 70kg but as I said it was a long time ago. 6x2 85% 1rm 90kg x 2 90kg x 2 90kg x 2 These all felt easy and were snappy so up it to 90% 95kg x 2 95kg x 2 95kg x 2 These all felt comfortable so think i'll up it to 6 doubles at 100kg next week and see how it goes. Made a nice change from standing strict press and enjoyed it ![]() Shrugs - 120kg x 10 140kg x 10 140kg x 10 Traps aching from deadlifts yesterday but my brother wanted to do them so thought i'd join in. Upright Rows - 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 40kg x 10 Really dislike these but couldn't think what to do. Raises Tri-set - Lateral/front/rear - 11kg x 8,8,8 13.5kg x 8,8,8 13.5kg x 8,8,8 Standing Cable Crunches ss with Kettlebell Side Bends - 35kg x 25 - 20kg x 20 each side 55kg x 20 - 20kg x 20 each side Kettlebell Swings - 20kg x 5 Back was hurting so gave it a miss. Happy with the pressing, only thing that seems to be going alright at the moment and was surprised I got up as high as I did. I'm hoping it means my strict press has gone up but will stick with the seated press for a couple weeks then give strict a go again. Going to try to make it to the gym Friday for some push press. | ||
