Lol your having a laugh i think you got more chance of seeing the pope training in there before you see a squat rack.

Quality squatting there! It took me f**kin ages o work out best position for my feet and even now I sometimes forget!!!

Yea my squatting is definitely a work in progress and don't think my foot positioning is anywhere near perfect but at least I don't seem to be leaning forward as much!

Ortmayer/Magnusson Deadlifts week 2 -

After an early start and a late finish at work coupled with a terrible nights sleep I was not anticipating a fruitful session tonight but I would give it my all. As I was a lot later to the gym than usual, I was quite refreshed to see it was almost empty with plenty of room to deadlift and the olympic bar sitting nicely in the rack waiting for me.


Deadlifts -

60kg x 10
100kg x 10
140kg x 5
180kg x 4
202.5kg x 2 Beltless PB
230kg x 2 Reps PB Grin
The second rep was the ugliest, longest, grinding hitched rep you ever did see but I managed to get it, even with me almost writing it off before I even attempted it so was over the moon Grin Was also my first case of shaky leg syndrome when deadlifting.
180kg x 8
This nearly killed me! Only just got the last prescribed minimum rep after having to take a quick breather at 5 and then 7.

Was chuffed with deadlifting today Happy the 180s and the 202.5s felt a lot cleaner pulls than usual.


Barbell Rows -

140kg x 3 PB
100kg x 8
100kg x 8
100kg x 8


Low Cable Pulley Rows -

120kg x 8
120kg x 8
120kg x 8


Core stuff.


Turned out to be a long, drawn out session the gym owners have decided to re-arrange the gym to make the free weights area larger so I offered my services and spent quite a bit of time moving machines, plates and weight trees but all on the promise of a new olympic bar and partly my way of making them happy before asking if they will consider a squat rack or even squat stands. The chances are slim to none but one can live in hope.

Good deadlifts mate

I had i look at that routine a while back but there is far to many reps for my liking. Keep it up though bud, i m sure you will make gains with it.

Are you doing the BGB2?

Yea I'm looking forward to it already, the promise of pizza has helped this Happy I would love a 270kg deadlift but 260 is probably closer to the mark. Overhead press will be largely down to how my piss poor cleaning progresses.
