bin the chicken breasts...get chicken quarters. half the price, and more calorie dense given the fat content

gammon is cheap and full of calories/protein

Agreed. I'm not on a massively tight budget (by no means am I minted) but I still don't buy just chicken breasts. I just buy a whole chicken and chop it into 8. Top half and bottom half (just below where the wings end) then quarter it. Takes 5 minutes from start to finish including cleaning out the inside, and you get a whole chicken for the price of 2-3 breasts.

Morrissons almost always do cheap boneless pork loin/shoulder. Chop an apple and an onion, put the pork on top, add some seasoning then cover in foil and leave it in the oven at around 190-200c for about 1.5 hours.

I also buy bit bags of oats, grind it in the blender then add milk and blend again.

Jacket potatoes are another cheap bulking meal, and easy as fk to make. i just put it in the oven for a bit over an hour, could have some pork/chicken with it.

I make relatively cheap burgers too - mince, onion, parsley, egg, salt and pepper, and I add about 50g oats as well as 1-2 slices of bread crumbled/very finely diced. From 1lb of mince, I manage to get 7 quarter pounders.

Get rid of the fruit and veg!!! If this is a short term issue then forgoing these for a few weeks isn't really going to cause major issues, especially if you use any form of vitamin/mineral supplement. I think fruit especially, can really rack up the cost of a shopping trip.

Get rid of the chicken. As has already been mentionned, lean pork loins/fillets aren't too high in fat and tend to be far cheaper. Turkey is also much cheaper then chicken too.

Rice would probably be the cheaper form of carbs available, so I'd stock up on that and as Gray said, buy some cheap tins of beans as the rice and beans combined will create a complete protein source for a fraction of the cost of a meat based one.

I'd try and seek out a farm shop for the eggs as they can be dirt cheap.

beautiful. cheers buddy Happy
duno wats going on recently tho, my weight has stayed the same for last 7 weks, ive tried eating more, eating smaller more oftern, eating bigger meals more spaced out, dropped the read meat and only chicken n turkey, ive droped the chicken n turkey and only ate red meat, no overall change in weight. gona try a gallon of milk a day and 3 shots of olive oil a day thrown in with 4 meals, see if this helps, otherwise im taking up knitting! lol
noted, my bodyfat has droped slightly and i get compented on how much bigger my legs n shoulders are looking, so obviously its working, but i idealy wana be as close to 110 as i can, ultimate goal is 20 stone eventualy but a good 17 stone will be a nice weight for me for now.
