Ok, finally got around to starting my first log on here. Hopefully work and fitness willing I'm entering the u90kg natural strongman qualifiers, and the u90 Scots strongest man. So this is my prep;
Monday:
Squats
W/up 10x100kg
10x120kg
6x140kg
3 sets 4 x 195 Deep squats, felt good plenty left in the tank
Events;
85,95,105,115 atlas stones 115 atlas stone x6 all to 54" barrel
427kg tyre flip 1,1,2,2
Single arm dumbbell press 40kg x4 x8
Abs;
Incline sit up and plate press x 3 sets 10 with 10kg.
All comments and suggestions welcome.

Clean technique work (low weight focusing on form)
split press technique work
Strict press max reps to failure x40kg x15 x10 x10 (elbows sore)

Weighted rope ab crunches 30 x40kg

Thanks. My back felt pretty good that day, my legs let me down on the yoke and farmers though. Just wish I could get another day of training in, but due to other commitments I can't.

Axle Clean and Press
W/ups 50kg x 5
50, 60, 70, 80, 90 x 1 100 fail, messed up the clean and had to belt clean then failed the press.

I'm going to feel this one for the next couple of days!!

Nice lifting man!

Your squat must be higher than 210 based on the sets of 5 with 195. Are you planning on setting a new PB in the next few weeks?

I think I'll keep an eye on your log. You're a similar weight to me and outlifting me on the big 3 by just the right amount to make me think I can catch you up Wink

Please hold back on any PB's for the forseeable future!!! Tongue Grin

LOL. Trying to concentrate on reps at the minute, prepping for u90kg strongman comps so not really interested in single reps at the minute. I'm aiming for 5-6 good reps at 200+.
I sense a challenge being issued here!

Legs and back quite sore, just messed about a bit with some overhead and clean stuff.

Power cleans
2 x6 @60
2 x6 @80

Hanging cleans

6 @80 (Forearms sore)

Push press
10 @45
8 @65
4 @85
1 @95 (new pb)
1 @100 fail

Axle shrugs
3 x10 @130

Dips (paralell bars)
10 b/w

Abs
straight leg raises 3x10
Side bends 3x 10 @25kg

Mixed results really, cleans ok but making forearms very sore at elbows.
Pleased with the push press, new pb and probably could get 100 with not so sore arms.

What a load of crap!!
Squats
10 x 100
10 x 120
5 x 150 WTF struggled
6 x 150 slightly better
6 x 180 really struggled
8 x 180 Ok

Events
Stones 80,90,105, 115, 130 (low platform)
struggled with grip, too cold tack wouldn't stick, frost on stones!!

Yoke 260 x 6m Crap
x 6m crap again
x 5m really crap,
legs went stiff and sore and I got really pissed off with myself

Tried doing some dumbell floor to overhead work and even that wouldn't work properly, so I got mad and went home!!
All in all a really s**tty session. Oh well try again next week.
