Log rows are because Im supposes to do upright rows but its too much hassle keep taking plates on and off.

I would like a nice 275kg hitchless deadlift please from you DaveHappy

Friday 19/10/12
Squattage
This didn't start well, had a huge dose of DOMS from yesterday in lower back, hips and quads.
70x10
120x8
160x6
160x6
180x2 Had to stop, back and legs just wouldn't work.

CGBP
70x10
90x8
110x5
115x3
117.5x3
117.5x2
117.5x2

Strict Press
barx10
50x8
60x6
80x4
85x OUCH, got it to head height and elbow/ forearm started playing up again.
75x4
75x3 painful reps.

Not the session I planned, need to rethink training so I'm not squatting straight after deadlifts, the DOMS from the Coan is too much.

Solid sessions of late mate, the Coan routine is great but the assistance stuff hammers your lower back, you gonna be down training events on Sunday? Me and Keith are heading up for a session with the heavier stones and for a shot of the new monster dumbell.

Thanks Neil starting to feel like I'm making progress again. You are right about the Coan, it does hammer the lower back like no other routine I've tried.
I will be training Sunday but I'll be there about 1.30ish but will probably still be there when you get there.

21/10/2012 Sunday

Dumbell
10x10
8x20
6x30
All strict, left and right arm.
4x40 left and right push press.
3x50 couldn't seem to get the line right

Monster dumbell
4x48
53x1
56x1
56x1 PB
bit of a break when Benvie and Keith turned up.
59x1 PB!! Only tried it because Keith attempted it and failed. Well pleased

Power stairs
What a joke!! I am too short to do this well. At full extension the implement was below the step still and struggled to get the height to load it.
45kg up and down
85kg up and down
105kg up and down
125kg up and down, very difficult
125kg up and down
125kg up 2 steps.

Stones
64x a few to 60"
82.5 x few to 60"
100 x 4 to 60"
120 x3 to 54"
135x2 to 54"
160 x many fails, lifting it easy enough and almost had it at first attempt but left knee went sideways. Still can't seem to get it to knees. I'm pretty confident if I can lap it I can load it.

Nice fun session today joined by Neil Benvie and Keith Paton. Spurred on with the dumbell I'm well chuffed with 59, and it didn't feel like a max either. Good to see Benvie attempt 80 and almost get it.

Shoulder Destruction!!

Log
40x4
50x4
60x4
70x4
All strict
80x4 supposed to be strict but messed up the clean and ended up with a weird mong press!
90x4 P/P
100x1 Bit dodgy and a grind
100x1 Slightly better
100x1 Faster
100x1 Absolutely flew up
102.5x1 Yeehaaa mofo PB!!

Viking Press
60x10
80x8
100x6
All strict
120x2
120x2
120x1
120x1
Was intending to do 3x3 but right forearm/ elbow started playing up.
I felt really good, strong and fired up for the log today and it paid off
Yeah baby, PB tastic, very happy to finally break the 100 barrier. First 2 reps were iffy, the third was much better and the fourth absolutely flew up.

Solid work with the Coan stuff mate, it's a tough routine but well worth the effort in the end.

I'm starting to really enjoy it. I'm totally beasted after it but the improvement in the form and speed of my deads is making it all worth it.

I found that all the volume from the speed deads was a big help with tightening up my form.
