Yeah you're right Boar, bugger. My wife is in the states across that weekend so I'm stuck here with the kids, so no can go

I can cancel the hotel no problems, and I will obviously go for moving the flights to another comp date if I can find one suitable. On the positive side it gives me more time to put in a better squat and bench performance.

Unfortunately with the change in the British Masters, it would have been next to impossible to put on a good comp as so many people would have been away .

I know it's probably messed up your plans but it would of meant a poorly attended contest with many going to support our "old lifters" in Birmingham, plus some of the officials will be there too.
We've a contest in June if that works out for you?

Thanks Bryn, yeah I understand it was better to change the timings, just bad luck on my part. Not to worry, I was actually already looking at that one in Colne (if that's the one you mean?) as a possibility. I could change my flights to go round that. After that the next possibility looked like it was in December?

I don't think it's truly open, because the winners of NW titles will be NW lifters, but I think that Bryn meant that lifters from other divisions are welcome to lift as guests.

Anyone know when the deadline is for entry?

Luke, I'm sure Bryn will let you enter right upto the last week - what you do need to sort out is your BWLA membership though, get this done now so you get your membership number in time. There is an article in the articles section with relevant information on how to join!

With the comp only two weeks away, has anybody had thoughts on openers or possible PBs? My plan at the mo', is to open on 170/150/215 and hopefully finish with a final 185/165/230 if all is well. Is a big if though, but here's hoping
