07/04/08 - Week 13 - Day 4 Bench Press 20x3 60x3 80x2 100x2 120x1 46 F6 140x1 160x1 175x3x1 RDL 20x5 60x5 100x3x5 DB Row 25sx6 35sx6 45sx6 55sx6 Benching was OK. Massive elbow pain though. I noticed yesterday at the Masters that all the big pullers had big hamstrings. I look like I suffer from a genetic defect that caused me to be born without any hamstrings at all. The insta-DOMS I got from RDLs with 100 confirms it. I'm going to do them every week until I get me some hams!

06/04/08 - Week 13 - Day 3 Squat 42 Super Cent straps down 65x5 105x3 145x3 165x2 185x1 2m wraps 205x1 225x1 Straps up 250xF Meh. Had to train really early with a team today so we could head off to the British Masters after. First time in my new suit. Felt good until I put the straps up. In hindsight, the 25kg jump at the end was too high. Walked it out OK, went down, flew out of the hole, but lost my balance and fell back. I really don't like tight straps on a suit... No time to do anything else. I'll finish the workout tomorrow!

Pete said: I was going to say that we might be sharing a platform next year but as a I'm only a resident of Oz, as opposed to a citizen, I presume that I wouldn't be allowed to compete at the national champs - even if I was strong enough. I think that I'll be allowed to compete at the QLD champs though. I'll make the enquires soon. I would've thought you could've lifted at the Nationals. Non-British citizens are allowed to lift at the BWLA Champs. |
