Blah blah, how much do you bench?

If your benched a certain amount with help from spotters (all you bro), or with reverse bands, or with limited range of motion, would you go on and give it to non-lifters as your max? 'cos I don't see much difference between that and a shirted bench.

I've been asked that plenty of times. Equally annoying question!

I have to explain "it depends what lift I'm doing". My most common answer is "I've had 21 stone over my head".

I have only been asked this once....told they guy, who then said "how many plates is that?" Roll-Eyes Grin

Anything over 3, 3.5 plates and most regular gym rats will think your one of the strongest men in the world!

biggest bulls**ter i ever met came to our gym one day

the guy used to wiegh 32 stone and was now weighing 24 stone after a gastric band he showed me a pick of him at taht bw asif it was an achivement he later went on to tell me

when he was at that bw he apparently benched 220 raw for reps and had rack pulled 450kg raw and also claimed he was on first name terms with pudz and alot of other strongmen

needles to say he couldnt get a 300kg tyre off floor over head press 40kg keg or walk with 60kg farmers in each hand

i havnt seen him since that session and he declined me on facebook haha
