Looks like the under 90kg circuit has been a real hit this year and i`m glad i could be a part of it .. Hopefully next year will bring much of the same, We`ve seen some unbeleivable athletes turn up out of the wood work that otherwise wouldn`t be competing in Strongman and for me its been a huge success .. Excellent performance once again from James on becoming Britains Strongest Man u90kg .. | ||

Then Boar won the squats and went into 4th, then Shane reveresed it qith the stones. Close all the way between the 2 Northern beasts! | ||

Great competition yesterday - The events were brutal and the athletes all went balls to the wall! No more could have been asked of anyone. Dave puts on a really good show, the only downside was the lack of room for spectators to actually get a decent view of the events. But it was being held in a marquee so only so much could have been done about this - At least everyone was dry and out of the elements! Congratulations to everyone that competed! Not a single person left anything in the tank and this made for a fantastic competition! James = Beast! Shane = Morecambe stoneman! Boar = Squat king! Well done lads, you did us all proud! Macca p.s. Shane - the purpose of the slap was to piss you off, f**king telling me that you were only going to get a few reps on the squat 10 seconds before you were due to get under the bar! | ||

Awesome performances from all the guys though, glad I made the trip down. Great to meet new faces (Fandango, Owl, BigMacca, Richie Bevan, Bryce, BigSam, others...) and see such legends as Squatmasta Boar, Pete, John Marsden, others...  James - reminds me of Paul Woods - calculated, and awesome all rounder. Looks like him too - but younger Glen - Boars secret brother? Was hard to tell them apart at times. I saw Glenn going to weigh in and said to Youngy - "I think Boar's sent his twin to weigh in for him!" Alex - looks like a cross between Tony and Rob! Also a BEAST. Shane - great placing after such little prep time! Hopefully this will grow next year. Considering it's the 1st year of the British, it's great, and big thanks to Dave and helpers for putting the show on. Hopefully bigger and better next year! | ||
