Wednesday 28th November, Adlington

Bench
20x20x2, 55x2, 70x2, 80x2, 90x2, 100x2, 110x2, 120x2, 130x2, 137.5x2 (all first rep paused)
145x2 (touch and go), 110x13.

Very slightly disappointing session, this - my lowering wasn't quite as snappy as usual and I just forgot to drive my legs on the paused 137.5. Still, if you'd offered me this session a couple of months ago I'd've called you an insane optimist.

Incline Smith Bench 60x2, 80x2, 95x2, 110x2.

Triceps Pressdown (in lbs) 55x2, 88x2, 121x2x2.

And that was that. Next week is more doubles, a bit heavier if we can and not if it's not comfortable, then a week of singles, then the big single. Yummy.

Analysis with Alan has confirmed my opinion as to what was wrong with my second squat on Monday. We'll see if we can stick 'em proper next time. And avoid forgetting to do a backdown set.

The bench session was great Rick, as you get stronger your sessions get hard to improve on, just keep plugging away.

Good stuff mate. That was a good session, the only reason you think it was s**t was because you have had some blinders lately. Some biig PB's on the horizon!!

Power clean + push press 50x2x3, 60x2x2, 70x1 (might have been a double? I forget), 80x1, 87.5 fail, 87.5x1 PB

My biggest clean and my biggest ever weight overhead (standing or seated). Quite happy.

Speed Bench 20x20, 70x3, 75x3, 80x3, 85x3, 90x3, 95x3, 100x3, 105x3, 110x3, 100x3, 90x3, 80x3, 70x3.

Every triple starts when the second hand on the clock points straight up, so the whole thing takes under a quarter-hour, at the end of which I am f**ked.

Great fun.
