Tried to swim today but it was like running the gauntlet. Midgets everywhere trying to jump on your neck and block every route. Managed a few quarter lengths at the best of times.
It's probably for the best because after a half hour I started getting the pains in my shoulder and elbow again. I probably should have rested it and will likely be looking for some physio in the not too distant future. All of this pain from leaning on my arm to watch Anime.
I have a speed lower and upper body day tomorrow as well which'll probably give me a little grief. I'm gonna put some ice packs in the freezer just now for after training.

On a side note. I had two lovely breakfasts today. One was a protein shake with creatine and oats and the other was a portion of lasagne.

I also had 3 dinners tonight. One was bacon, eggs and toast. One was salmon and veg and the third was a lovely tuna pasta that I made. Dessert was a half bag of Jelly babies.
Can't say I've undercarbed today haha.

You should ice it a few times between now and training too.

Awesome. Did do so earlier and it feels a little better now. I'll do so again in the morning and hopefully training wont be too bad.

Lack of the ability to travel and pay me gym fees is forcing me to bring my speed days together.

Speed Pause squats:
10 sets of 2 reps at 70kg
I couldn't find a box or plates to do box squats so had to do pause squats.

Speed deadlift:
10 sets of 2 reps with 90kg

Speed bench and technique work:
10 sets of 3 reps at 52.5kg
I can still feel that problem from my shoulder.

Shoulder Press:
1 set of 5 reps at 60kg PB
1 set of 4 reps at 55kg
1 set of 4 reps at 50kg
I could feel my shoulder and arm pretty bad during these. I'm gonna have to watch out. I never made my goal as a result of this.

Hammer curls.......:
3 sets of 8 reps at 12.5kg

Decline ab work:
1 set of 20 pause reps
1 set of 15 pause reps
1 set of 15 pause reps

After this I called it a day. My mindset isn't all that good just now. I love training, but that's kind of the problem. I'm getting tunnel vision with it and don't have passion for much else.

Went to see about my shoulder pain today.
Suspected rotator cuff injury. Got to lay off upper body stuff for a while apparently but she said I'm still able to train, I've just to train legs and high rep upper body.

Bad day at the office yesterday.

Front Squats:
1 set of 5 at 90kg
1 set of 5 at 95kg Failed on rep 5

Deadlifts:
1 set of 5 at 152.5kg Fail. Did half a rep and dropped it.
1 set of 5 at 140kg
1 set of 5 at 150kg Fail. Did a rep and just wasn't feeling it.
Just wasn't feeling it at all. I felt like my arse was going to tear off and couldn't get my legs into the lift.

Gonna have to go back to de-loading I think because that's two iffy workouts in a row. I've been a bit stressed over the last week and cautious about my shoulder so I just can't really put the same grunt into what I'm doing.
A wee bit of r&r is needed. I think that I really did peak at the end of that 3 week cycle..

Roll on Monday swimming and Tuesday de-load.

Only two bad workouts in a row doesn't mean you should deload. Not enough to imply overtraining IMO.

I'll see how I feel in the morning. Maybe I am being a bit hasty.

went for a float about in the pool earlier. Cardio was away and the pulse was high upon waking in comparison to last week. Definitely over reaching/on the cusp of overtraining and time to back off for a week.

Thursday will be de-load weights as will be Saturday. Then I'll decide on Tuesday if I'm starting my 3 week peaking cycle again.

Thanks dude. Hope to see you Saturday. P.S. We're cleared for free training in Wishaw now. So when you're wanting to show up big roiders, it's on like donkeykong.

Dude how do I go about getting to Wishaw and how much will it cost?

I'd possibly be up for going on Monday as Strathy and the palace are shut.

Lowlevel train to Wishaw from central station and the sports centre is right next to the station. From Neilston it's about 4 pounds 50 return so from Glasgow I imagine it's 3 quid return or something.
I'm working with Bryan on Monday though so if we could make it in the morning or lunch time it'd be much better if that was possible?

Yeah man that's cool, 11 am good for you?

Also how long will it take me to travel there so that I know roughly when I should set off?

Train takes half an hour or so from central. I could meet you beforehand and we could get the train in if you like? 11am sounds perfect.
Just let me know when to meet you. Obviously I have the morning free so it's your call dude.
