I used to enjoy a game of snooker many years ago, but i was crap.

2 weeks ago at a wedding in Hereford, I was staying in some large shared posh house with many of the other wedding guests. The house had a games room with a snooker table... I played and enjoyed it, but I was even crapper than before. I did manage to hammer some fantastic long range shots mind, but I was very inconsistent and my positinal play was nonexisitent.

Everyone that walked past the table would comment how big it was compared to a pool table. I would then attempt to pot a ball and they would realise that i was s**te, and that it was a hard game.

I do enjoy watching Ronnie play as he makes the game look so effortless and easy. A genius of the game.

It looks so much easier doesn't it on TV. When I play regularly I'm a decent pool player but put me on a full size snooker table and I'll be over the moon with an 8 break, crazy what the pros can do.

The guy in the video on the right is AGAINST O'Sullivan. He's going to make sure he's doing whatever he can until Ronnie gets his turn, at which point it's going to be game over. Didn't Ronnie purposely mess up a 147 once just because he wanted to, at a cost of $10,000 (the amount paid for each 147 you get)

Before he potted a ball he asked what the prize was for a 147, preceded to make 140 and then put his cue down to end the frame as there was no prize for it. Ref had to tell him to pot the black for the fans, only O'Sullivan.

Probably my favourite sport outside of strength sports.

I'm not very good at it myself.

An old friend of mine has a son who has played since being a toddler. He's got money on him being a world champ before age 21. The link below is to a newspaper article in which he's mentioned (Jackson Pope). He was 8 at the time and won his frame 95-28.

He's 11 now and his best break is something like 80-odd, I seem to recall. Eek

That is an incredible break for that age.

Good luck to the lad, superb work.

It is seen by many as a boring game, but it such a nard game to learn and play well, and also very enjoyable.

In another match he looked to the commentary box early on in a break to find out the prize for a 147

When he found out it was 10k for maximum and 2k for highest break he potted a pink instead of a black to score a 146
