I've started back up on this rowing malarkey after recovering from COVID, I had really noticed a lot of fatigue when returning to the gym.

I'm on week three of the Petes Plan Beginner programme, my times are very slow - I'm probably in 7:50-8:00 shape for a 2k it seems. REALLY hoping the gyms don't shut again so I can bring that time down.

Bit more in there but I'm still woefully unfit.

I watched my brother rowing this evening too. The midget is a mere 1.88m to my 2.03m. I have considerably longer arms than him though (8cm in it) and my ROM on the rowing must be over 20cm more on each stroke.

I will no longer have access to a rower after Wednesday it seems... on to kettlebell swings it is. I have an 8kg, 16kg, 20kg and 28kg which will be enough. I'm not proficient when it comes to snatches so I might practice those throughout the month of lock down but mainly focus on swings which I have done in the past with a HR monitor.

Unhappy

If lock down is only a month then I'll probably just start back where I have ended this programme.

I'd certainly like to get it under 7 minutes. The main thing holding me back is that a) I'm really not very fit and b) I've probably only done a total of about 20km on the rower so far. What plays to my advantage is my 7ft wingspan and 6ft 8" height.

How do I get added to these tables mate?

Can I just row and video? I've done 13.6sec 100m and 1:29sec 500m on my real first attempts after playing with the drag. Not a clue how to row but looking at the tables these seem decent enough and I'm keen on improving these.

Literally got the concept 2 last week! Expensive as s**t but well worth it (I say 'I' got it, it was a birthday gift for the Mrs (wink)).

Smashing the 100m, and no surprise there! I reckon you can do a lot of damage over 500m with just a bit of practice.

Thank you mate. Just looked at your other times... feel like a 90kg bench presser watching julius maddox! Crazy.

Might sound a bit nancy, do you chalk up to row!? By hands/forearms/bicep tendon start screaming even after 300m. I legit think that's the biggest limiter on my 500m; cardio is 95% there I think, it's the muscular side.
