tabbouleh and fattoush salads were very refreshing Member 267, 8548 posts SQ 220, BP 165, DL 250635.0 kgs @ 90kgs Eq | As you my infer from the responses (or lack of them), the word cardio sends shudders down most sugden members' spines. I would guess: strongmen: cardio is part of event training weightlifters: only to squeeze into a weight class if absolutely necessary powerlifters: none

some nice relaxing jazz. Member 77, 12599 posts SQ 265, BP 165, DL 280710.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | Turbokid; you do a manual job yes? Doubt you'd really need much cardio.

Hey mate, my name is Paul Dudley Member 632, 3628 posts SQ 200, BP 155, DL 282.5637.5 kgs @ 77kgs UnEq | Whatevers fun really. Used to rock climb quite alot, did a bit of MMA, cycled quite a bit... Basically, I have no set routine, for me, there is no need. Just do something you enjoy, don't make it a chore (or you'll never get it done). On your paused squat question, I am by no means a professional but my opinion would be that they would work in a different way to box squats, but would be effective (just not in the same way). Member 665, 30 posts SQ 160, BP 105, DL 200465.0 kgs @ 82kgs UnEq | I train crossfit so I do a lot of conditioning (not really a fan of the word cardio, just implies sitting on a static bike for hours which isn't gonna do much for anyone). I'll typically take 2 or 3 movements and do a set amount of reps and sets as quickly as possible. For example, 5 sets of 5 Deadlifts and 10 Burpees, as quick as possible. A decent weight for the DLs would be 125kg. Complexes are good as well. Do 5 reps each of DL, Clean, Push Press and Front Squat without putting the bar down. Work up to as heavy weight as you can manage. Having started training at olympic recently, the strongman medley events are great conditioning. Just take 3 or 4 events and do them in sequence as fast as possible. One I did the other day was 5 rounds of: sandbag load, keg load, 60m farmers walk and 60m sled drag. This gases you pretty effectively. If you want any of these workouts to try let me know. I have stacks of them.
