Front squats 100, 140, 180 x 3, 3, 200 x 3. Stones 130 x 1, 1, 3, 3. Cracking session today. Adjusted pressing position slightly after spotting something on T-Rex's log earlier in the week. Felt marvellous. 180 front squats were too easy so bumped it up for the final set. Throwing the stone around with speed, might triple the 185 next week for the gram. | ||

Completely mistimed the 3rd rep on set 3 so dropped it rather than having to grind it out. Stuck an extra rep on the final set to even it out. Really finding it hard to get used to pulling while fatigued, previously I've always programmed deads to hit them when I'm fresh. Come comp time i expect it will help, but right now it hurts. | ||

Strict press Wraps, 75, 95, Belt + sleeves. 115 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3. Saw physio yesterday and he explained the back discomfort I've had for the past week or so was because I've pulled something in my hip region. Not a great lot i can do at this point as prep must go on. Where possible I've ditched some accessory work and I'll try to minimise workload through the affected area. Wrist wraps throughout tonight, just started aching around an hour before training. Sure it's nothing so should be fine after a good nights sleep. | ||

Banded shoulder dislocations/plate external rotations - 2 supersets. 1 clean log press 89, 109, Belt + wraps, 129 x 3 e4m x 7. Chose to drop front squats as this is the first of 3 consecutive heavyish sessions and I'll struggle just to hit the plan, never mind the accessory work. Log felt pretty good. Going to do a bit of work on a standard size log on Saturday, see if that feels better or worse. | ||

Still lacking a little speed, but much better than it was a couple of weeks ago. Still fairly sure i will be good for 10 reps at Northerns. | ||

Sandbag loading/farmers /72.5, /112.5, 100 x 8m, 120 x 8m/132.5 x 15m. Stones 100/140, 140/160, 180 - no tacky PB, 180 x 2. Hard session today. Feeling a bit battered from deads and log, but happy enough with how things moved considering that. | ||

Woke up early this morning and felt good so had a little play before work. Slightly baffled by the fact i managed all the working sets considering I've had 1 proper meal in the past 48 hrs. Hopefully bodes well for the next few weeks of the programme. | ||

Banded shoulder dislocations/dumbell rotations - 2 supersets. 1 clean log press 85 105, 125, Belt + wraps, 131.5 x 2 e4m x 5, Sleeves, 145 x 2 - PB. Slight incline Hixxy press 100 x 5, 5, 120 x 5, 5, Wraps, 140 x 1, 1. No idea what possessed me to go for the PB. Arms are sore from strict press yesterday and first two working doubles were shaky as f**k. 3 and 4 were piss though so i got brave. Final rep was a bit of a grinder, but I'm very pleased with it considering the last few days. Just need to get the technique locked in for a normal size log and I'm golden. | ||
