Triples felt great tonight, almost effortless. 130 has never moved that well. Hopefully that bodes well for the end of the programme as tonights pressing was hampered by having a cold and my shoulders being very tight from monday.

Deadlifts were tough today, and ruined my grip so i quickly gave up on the idea of farmers.

Going to see about tinkering my work pattern so i can move deads to Thursday evening when i have more time for them. The session im planning next week (assuming im over my cold) will be horrific.

The one exercise im not deloading as i want to keep going with my peaking programme.
This was so much harder than last week, partly because im a bit run down and partly because i spent nigh on 2hrs sat in traffic on my drive home from work so everything was a bit stiff.

Regardless though still got it done. Hit a PB treble, then repeated it 6 times. Even though only 80% of my target max this is technically 89% of my actual max, so im fairly happy to have got it done.

Felt a lot better tonight, be glad to start pushing again on Thursday.
The 265 is not only the heaviest I've done since the tear, its also the heaviest ive ever done on that bar, and, i believe, the heaviest beltless squat I've ever done. Quite honestly it was easy.

Had to ditch the axle, couldn't get comfortable in my usual position and don't want to adjust positioning as the purpose of the programme is a new 1rm.
No idea why things were feeling so heavy tonight, but lower back just wasn't having it. Lack of sleep last night is my only theory, but i dont really feel that bad.
Managed to grind out some doubles, but honestly they were powered more by stubborness than strength. No way i was capable of the 8 triples i was meant to do.
If next week is similarly disappointing then i will have to ditch the peaking programme and get some more conventional work in.

Just not got enough confidence back to go for a big wrapped squat. The 260s all felt good, and the final set was nice and easy.
I think I just need to get some reps in at 240+ to get the confidence back for heavier weights.
