Delighted with how easy these felt, especially as all sets were done sleeveless.
Had a slight timing issue on the final set, but the final rep went up easy enough.

The stabbing pain in my lower back brought both this session and the Deadlift peak to an abrupt halt. Back to lighter volume work for this guy.

Back is functional but very tender, I think I pinched a nerve deadlifting.
Just flew through a nice light technique session, and then moved things around so I could get my stone lifting platform in over winter.
I've never made a real effort to train stones and it shows. Hopefully hitting them weekly for a while will bring them up to par.

TRX triceps extensions/biceps curls - 3 supersets.

Back still a little tender so didn't do my planned numbers and won't be training tomorrow. The sore back was making me a little slow in getting my head through and lock out was suffering as a result.
A little upset at the timing, but next week is the end of the programme so as long as I'm good to go then it's all good.

Hoping to be OK for events on Sunday, fingers crossed

Back just about held up, though obviously I didn't push anything.

A nice light month for everything other than overhead now, get some rest and have some fun before I start to plan for Northerns.

Still a stabbing pain in lower back if I squat right down so just half reps for a week or 2.
Similar story on deads, though I think I'll be sticking with the block pulls even once the back is fine.
Wasnt paying attention on the first set of deads and lost tightness, which caused my back to remind me it wasn't happy. Put the missing reps on final 2 sets.

Nice light one today, final pressing before my PB session on Friday. Lent my sleeves to a friend so currently unsure what I'll aim for.

Calf stretch/wide stance TRX squats/Banded standing hamstring curls - 2 trisets.

Front squats

140 x 5, 5, 5.

Stones to 56"

130 x 1, 1, 1.

RDLs

Bit of a rushed session tonight as I had to pick my son up from his childminder. As i can keep a completely straight back on front squats they were fine even going to depth.
Obviously straight back stone lifting isn't a thing so I just hit a few singles to iron out the indoor setup (turns out I'd overlooked some basic stuff).

Physio booked for Sunday so hopefully be able to push a little harder next week.

Not well pleased. Really wanted the 160 and a couple of weeks ago I was certain it was there. Perhaps loaning out my sleeves was a bad plan. I tried my old 3 plys, but they felt horrid, f**k knows how I used to train in those.

Oh well, physio on Sunday, if that helps my back feel better I may very well take another go at this session on Tuesday to try for the 1rm again.

No speed on the 140s so no point taking a crack at the 160.

Even though I won't be going heavy again anytime soon I do think I'll keep training push press for a while rather than just bringing it in for comps. Hopefully a little more repetition will make the cues automatic and they won't fall out of my head as soon as a decent weight is on my chest.

Looks like I've ironed out the creases with my indoor stone platform setup. I'll bring the 155 stone in to the garage over the next few days.
Stone lifting felt pretty good, just need more speed which will come with practice and confidence.
Had to ditch front squats due to a knee issue as I got below parallel, likely just a result of being on my knees most of the day playing with the bairn. I don't expect it to trouble any other sessions.

Nice light session. It was only after I'd started the grip work I realised I am doing events tomorrow instead of Sunday. Might make Frame interesting or I may just cheat and use straps, you never know when you might end up in a comp which allows straps on a grip event!

Able to squat to depth pain free now so that's nice.
As the back was feeling a little better I opted to ditch a couple of light sets in favour of a vaguely heavy single. Mostly this was to feel out the new belt, a few people have suggested it feels a bit unusual to pull with.
I don't know about unusual but it was brutally stiff. I failed the first attempt as I just couldn't get air in with the belt in my usual pulling position (comfortably covering my bottom rib). Dropped it down an inch or so and the 2nd attempt went up quite easily.
