Amazed that he makes so much. Surely there are many stronger and/or much more accomplished lifters (including ones that are on this site) that make only a tiny percentage of that?! Very surprised

I've no idea whether that figure is accurate or not...but I'm surprised you are surprised it could be so high.

I'm always surprised when people judge a coach's ability on what they lift. Being one of the best athletes doesn't mean you'll necessarily be a good coaches.

And making money unfortunately sometimes doesn't have much to do with your ability to coach either, but your ability to sell yourself.

Wonder if George stumps up any money to Rob for royalties on the bench throwing thread?Unhappy

His career really took off from that point really.

Doesn't surprise me at all! Americans in general seem much better at the whole online marketing thing! People get similar for broadcasting themselves playing video games etc... As long as you're either world class and/OR entertaining in some way, be that funny or controversial!

Leeman has over 70,000 YouTube subscribers. If he can manage to convert 0.5% of these into paying fans - for his PT - combined with sponsorships, he's making bank! Then there's the fact that he undoubtedly has many followers outside of his YouTube subs.

On the other hand, who has time to provide online PT to 350 people?

His monthly coaching fees vary from 50 to 100 bucks a month http://www.muscle-massochist.com/services/

20k/month means 200+ clients year round. Sounds unlikely, but I'm not in the business.

He could do it. Cookie cutter program for most to begin with. Try and answer many of the emails and make any changes if someone is unhappy with the progress.

Probably in roughly the same way your phone company provides a personal service to you and all the other millions of customers - by using 99% of the same stationary and only changing the name.

My guess is also that his "personal" clients - ie. ones he actually talks to - are stumping up a whole lot more than that.

Apparently he gives out cookie cutter programmes which is ironic considering he blasts them on his posts. Also heard he doesnt respond to email and when he does its not very well. No way I could coach 200 people at once!

I imagine he gets weekly requests for used underwear too! $50 a pop easy money!

Underwear worn to pull over 900lbs... Who knows the value?!

I'm pretty sure he stated that he owns properties he rents out as well. That is a very nice money spinner if he is!

I would think that there is another 'revenue stream' that he makes good money off

even though I don't think he is the full shilling, just internet fame is enough to get some decent £££

I cant imagine online coaching is anything other than dudes paying to pretend to be friends with a 'name' or am I worng ? can superb coaching be obtained via email and a 10 minute skype consultation ?
