Not for the Olympics. Or at least not according to Cycling News.
He's entered an event specifically to get track points.

could be some international points then or something as i am pretty certain that BC track points go to your road as i know people that pick up points on the grass track and manc velodrome

If Wiggins does go down the Classics route do you think he will be competative considering Sky's poor showing in them this year?

In the right classics yes. But he's never going up the steep stuff like Canc, Sagan, Gilbert and the real punchy climbers. No chance, ever.

Given its a 2 year training cycle for the pursuit, that gives him next season only for the classics. He'd need some luck!

That's some decent mileage for an old timer Wink

Gotta love the Spanish, it's only 2 days into La Vuelta and its already a massacre.

Sanchez and henaos performances were particularly disappointing. can't help but think that Sanchez needed a good vuelta to get signed by another team once euskaltel cease to be, he'll presumably now be looking at a fairly drastic pay cut next season unless he suddenly manages to turn things around.

Saw a Moulton with drop handlebars on my ride home tonight. Think it might have been this model:

There are even fold away bike races these days. You have to wear a suit...

Think there's even a World Champs!
AvatarBurky
What were you doing in 'that London' mate?

Yeah, heard about that, didnt they have a race around a motor track recently?

Moultons kick the crap out of Bromptons (although i like Bromptons as well), some of their frames are stainless steel which is dead swish! Grin

Just seen today's stage from La Vuelta.

Tony Martin is an ANIMAL!

As much as it pains me to admit it, I hope he beats Wiggins at the Worlds. Even if just off of today. That was amazing.

Just watching the highlights now. There is no rider I like more than Der Panzerwagen, he's great!

God, what a heartbreaker.
AvatarBod
That was soul-destroying at the end. Holding that gap was phenomenal by Martin. It wasn't even as though the peloton weren't trying to pull him back either. The last 15kms, when he kept then at bay, was pure power.
