Yes people do forget your over 50, and one hell of a bencher, that 150 for 5 was superb Martin,great form, looked easy even though it wont feel that way,very good mate,Happy

Thanks guys. Not much arch Sam, plus can't get my feet in best position because of limited flexion. But 150 never felt as light as it did yesterday. Happy Let's hope one day I can say that about 160.

Back. Changed things around tonight.

Rowing – sets of 10 with 8, 8, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 16, 16, 18, 20
Chest Supported Rows Overhand Grip – 5 sets of 10 with 18
Chest Supported Rows Hammer Grip – 5 sets of 10 with 20 (bottom peg)
Lats Close Grip – 5 sets of 10 with 13
Lats Wide Hammer Grip – 5 sets of 10 with 12
Lats Normal Grip – 5 sets of 10 with 11
Rotary Lat Machine – 5 sets of 10 with bottom peg
Facepulls – 5 sets of 10 with 6, 7, 8, 7, 6.

2 hour + session, wiped out after that. Was going to do arm curls as well but felt a pain in the left elbow on the very first one. Maybe it was just the excuse I was craving.

Bench

Catts tonight. The improvements stopped big time. Not really at the races today. Numbers:

60 for 8 x 3 sets
80 for 5
100 for 5
120 for 5
145 for 5
145 for 4
145 for 3
135 for 6
125 for 6 (wanted 7)
115 for 8
105 for 10.

One of these sessions where everything feels really heavy. ‘Excuses’ are a tiring Sunday, a traumatic Monday, not carbed up, and a later than usual session. Or maybe just the Wigan gravity. I should have done 142.5 today but felt so good last week that I upped it 5 rather than 2.5. I’ll stay at 145 next week, and keep my 3s to 152.5 on Thursday.

Not sure JT. There was a group of boxer/lifters sitting there all talking about how many reps they could do with 150 but none of them put there money where their mouth was lol. Anyway, tonight...

CGBP

Left it there, totally exhausted. The first two sets with 152.5 were easyish, the last rep on the third set was a real struggle. All the volume reps on the way down were done with something to spare, but very little left for CGBP. C’est la vie! Much, much better than Monday, in spite of a pretty sleepless night.
