To the allrounders club this evening myself Sheridan wray and Tom Collins.
Shezz steady session after the gbpf championships on Sunday. Tom put his bench shirt on and did his opener 185x2 for the up and coming worlds in Denver.

Got 6 on each set and paused the last rep on each set pleased with that. I think I have now got over the 100kg barrier it has just become a training weight for meCool

Nice bench, you'll be looking to push your bench PB up a bit soon. If you can bench 3x per week you have got it sorted imo

Thanks Bill all going well at minute so yes I will be going for a jump in my pb shortly.
My thoughts are finish following the candito program loosely. I'd rather do more benching than assistance ie ram work last night I had a go with a bench shirt. 125 would be nice!!. May do a mock meet at club in 2 weeks to see we're all my numbers are. Then another cycle of same sort of thing.

Steady session felt heavy today may be due to being back at work. The paused squats were good to finish off with
The deads felt heavy. Will try and get a bench session in tomorrow on nights tonight.Roll-Eyes

Well done on getting that session done Andy. Probably best to save a bit for the end of the squats, though if you had energy for three sets of paused squats you must have had a fair bit left.

Yes mate maybe. Training on my own today so also motivation could have been a factor
Had to jump in with some guys on squat rack. So spent a while coaching after they saw me squating so deep. I'm sure you now the score
So there was also a bit of disruption to my session. My RAM came so I'm eager to give that a go soonCool

To the Doncaster allrounders tonight 6pm. Tom Collins Sheridan Wray and myself training.
Tom put his katana bench shirt on and worked up to his opener 185 Tom was trying a few things with his set up which all worked ok all good for Denver. Shezz back on the brad gillingham program 162.5 single then 3x5 @ 142.5.

Close grip bench press super setted with triceps push downs x3 sets 20reps 15reps 10reps

Another good session the 105's were tough but battled through.
Tried out my new ram went really well blasted 125 up so put a bit more on to see what I could do. The 140 squashed me down had a right adrenalin Rush gave my all and went for it had a battle towards lockout but got it up.

Good session all felt comfortable my last rep on my 160 set May have been a little shy on depth all others felt deep enough
Decided on trap bar deads today haven't done these for a while enjoyed it made a nice changeHappy

Very nice squatting and deadlifting Andy. How do you find the trap bar? I've never used one, is it easier or harder than straight bar?

A lot easier mate starting position higher for a start and your arms by your side so you can lift a lot more I've lifted 235 for a single in past using a trap bar

Nightmare day didn't think I'd get a workout in today decided to go to all rounders if I could make it .
Got there 6.30pm everybody deadlifting so jumped in alan twigg persuaded me to go for a pb 227.5 off program wot the hell

Missed 227.5 just below knees considering all the heavy squating and trap bar work I did on Wednesday pleased I got it off floor
And then to come back and pull 220 a lot to think about
With a proper rest 227.5 maybe more??230??
Am I getting beyond myself always the same when I miss a lift throws up lots of questionsRoll-Eyes
