I've heard of afew guys doing seated dumbbell cleans, I'm not sure exactly what their for though.

Apparently it's for rear delts and upper back, just an explosive shrug really. Its an American thing it seems.

Surely for an explosive shrug you would power clean rather than seated DB snatch just because you'd obviously shift more weight....

It's used by American powerlifters they don't want to power clean they don't have a suit for that!

I'm pretty sure I've done seated DB cleans at some point. I think they mention it in WS4SB as some sort of shoulder assistance exercise. Can't vouch for their effectiveness. Seated 'snatch' would be with an even lighter weight I imagine. Confused
