RSP | Right of access on driveways | 17-01-2013 @ 20:30
RIP sumotwat ...sadly missed Member 2875, 1788 posts SQ 200, BP 132.5, DL 235567.5 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Having an issue with a neighbour who is basically blocking the access to my own driveway. Came back from the gym today to find they have parked 2 cars at the top of her driveway and as close as she can to my drive. (I will try post a picture later to explain better). Their driveway is massive, can fit 6 cars on their but she has chosen to park them right there, to make it as awkward for me to park my car. Anyone else had anything similar, what did you do? I am sure I have right of access, so I can use her drive to access mine. I dunno why people have these kind of issues I might just park my car in front theirs, see what they do then

Yep, another neighbour shares our drive and was blocked in. She politely asked them to move their car and they made a big issue of it. Now they have done this which is just taking the piss.

bookies have him 2nd for BSM Member 1176, 318 posts | I may be wrong, but as I understand it, you can block someones drive as long as they don't have a vehicle on it, so you can be blocked off, but not blocked on!

Member 1980, 1201 posts SQ 217.5, BP 137.5, DL 255610.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | check the deeds, if you have a legal right then pow! chatting to them has to be the first option, otherwise it will just escalate...I read some stupid story...very similar to this, shared drives etc - but about bins! haha one of them ended up with a 40k legal bill

strong arse session Member 1113, 1963 posts SQ 180, BP 145, DL 222.5547.5 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | Sounds like a right c**t! That would annoy the hell out of me. Atleast you have a driveway though, I return home everyday and have to park my car 2 streets away due to council workers using my street and surrounding ones as a car park.I live a 5 minute walk from the town centre where the council offices are. Really f**king irritates me!

Member 2723, 243 posts SQ 290, BP 200, DL 320810.0 kgs @ 120kgs UnEq | I used to get this. I tried the whole talking thing and it didnt do s**t. He must have thought I was a pushover even though I was six stone heavier then him. I saw him in the boozer the following Saturday, I'd had a few so I went up to him and said if he blatantly tried to take the piss out of me again I'd rip his head off. He tried playing dumb but i said you know what im talking about. Never been a problem since. Some people are just arrogant assholes. Put her in her place, sharpish.

I can definitely respect that Jay, that is the way I like to approach things too. Show eveyone a bit of respect, however if you show me you are not worthy of that respect, I will show you disrespect like you have never seen before! Maybe I just have anger issues tho lol
