She plays a French version of Breakfast at Tiffany's Holly Golightly, a beautiful hustler increasingly desperate to find a one-way ticket out of the gutter. Behind this apprently straightforward bedroom farce lies a subtle and surprisingly bitter look at the politics of sexual exploitation amongst the haves and have-nots. It's the sort of film that Hollywood remakes and completely f**ks up. Voted film most likely to be written off as 'gay' by anyone with a Y chromosome (except me), though in all fairness, you do get a glimpse of Audrey Tautou's tits. [Edited for spelling].

There aren't enough bodybuilders on the planet to represent just how awful this film is. If you've watched it you'll know my pain, if you haven't... don't!

Watched this earlier on today top top film. Nowhere near Death Wish 1 but miles ahead from "Death Sentence" also The Air we breath http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485851/ Not too bad either, sort of like "Crash" but not as good. Seen a UK Film called "Cash Back" okish as it was a UK film (usually hate like f**k) but some funny moments and lots of undressing naked woman while they don't know what's happening.

This is how you make a superhero movie. Hellboy 2: hard not to compare it to the above, and to Pan's Labyrinth. It's a good movie, but nothing like as good as either. Get Smart: far, far funnier than I expected. Today's cinema: Rocknrolla: cockney geezer bo***cks. A perfectly adequate Guy Ritchie film. If you liked Lock Stock and Snatch, this is the same movie, pretty much. Still, at least there's one film he can make, ish. The Duchess: enjoyed this. Contains a genuinely excellent performance by Keira Knightley, and also her tits (what there is of them). Surprisingly moving (the film, not the tits).

Was I the only one to be reminded of Mel Gibson in Lethal weapon whenever 'Red' came in with his macho lines and antics? Dear oh dear. Saw LA Confidential last night for the first time, not sure how I've managed to dodge seeing it so far but there you go. It wasn't half bad!

It wasn't half bad! Excellent film. I'm not usually interested in tough-guy actors, but Russell Crowe is electrifying in that role. I watched 'Chopper' the other night. Fascinating in a way, though the bit where he nuts his girlfriend's middle-aged Mum turned my stomach. You get the sense that 'Chopper' is often as bewildered by the mayhem he has caused as anyone else. Eric Bana was really good in it - I can't think how he's slipped into all those bubble gum Hollywood roles.

I didn't love rocknrolla, but if you liked his first two movies you'll like this one. Sunday's movies: Stepbrothers wasn't funny enough, it was more sad than funny in a lot of ways. Bangkok Dangerous was nothing like as mediocre as I expected, very strong visually and well directed, but not one that will live in the memory (much like Rocknrolla in that respect, with better direction but fewer laughs). Then I saw Get Smart again with some mates who fancied it. Anne Hathaway. Yes please.
