Quark- awesome stuff- nice cheap source of casein protein- a 250g tub will set you back a whopping 60p. This tub will provide you with35grams of protein, no fat and 5g carbs.

The beauty is what you can do with quark. It has a yogurt like taste and texture, but is a little rancid to eat in large amounts on its own. So, mix in some whey... From my experience, mixing in chocolate (nut+mint) flavour wheys will allow you to have a tasty chocolate yoghurt dessert (+ choc chips) that will give you 60g protein, low fat and low carbs for less than a pound, and best of all tastes like a dessert!!!

I also tried mixing it with cookies and cream flavour whey and muesli, came out like a muller corner, f**king lovely

I've seen it on the shelves in Sainsburys and Morrisons, never checked Tesco or Asda. In those shops, it's near/next to the cottage cheese.

Enjoy Happy

most supermarkets have it, it'll be with the cheeses. in Sainsburys it's part of their 'be good to yourself' line as it's very low fat.

If you don't have protein powder then hot drink powders such as coco or 'options' sachets go well. I used to like white chocolate options and chopped almonds mixed into quark.

I agree with the chopped almonds, tried them in quark the other day with some chocolate nut whey, tasted awesome.

Got some of this but it looks a bit thick to mix with whey powder?!
