Thought id try and work on getting my hips lower at address today

60 x 10 x 2
100 x 6
140 x 3

For the 1st time in weeks, there was only a slight twinge in my back rather than s**t loads of pain after the warm up.

160 x 3

Now for the exciting part, felt decent for a change so thought id see what i could do.

180 x 1 Nice and sleazy
210 x F bas***d lost it about 3 inch from lockout
210 x 1 PB Horrible rep, but got there in the end, quick off the floor but slow the rest of the way.

Absolutely made up to get this, i was upto 200kg within a few months of starting deadlifting a few years back and failed 220 and 210 loads of times, its still s**t but very very happy to be progressing on deads again.

A deadlift PB is my favourite, sadly for me they are rarer than rocking horse s**t.

Hotter than satans porno collection in the gym today, haven't sweat this much since i got my last tax bill. All in all not a great day for squatting.

180 x 3 Lovely set and very easy

200 F Im a man that has had a lot of bad ideas and this was definitely one of them, knew when i walked it out i should have re-racked it, got my line wrong and was completely stuck in the hole, got folded over and had the bar roll down my neck to the safety bars. 1st time ive failed a squat because it felt too heavy so very pissed off with that.

Pretty good session even though it was a battle with the heat.

Benching today

40 x 12 x 2, 60 x 10, 100 x 4

120 x 3 x 7
120 x 2

All felt very comfortable will probably start the next round of this at 130 and bench twice a week!

140 x 2 very easy good bar speed, felt like I could have done 4 or 5

160 F lost the tightness in my back and elbows were a bit flared, got stuck on my chest, need to do a bit more work before attempting again and it will go!

140 x 2 again very comfortable, 1st rep nice and quick 2nd a touch slower.

A few other bits and bobs to follow

Feeling a bit knackered before i even started

Bit of a grind but not too bad. now for the bonus ball

180 x 3 PB Damn pleased by this, not exactly great but definitely progress

All done withoot straps for the 1st time in a while, got some liquid chalk and it works a treat, haven't even torn a callus, Good times!!

Cheers v man, feels good to be progressing, 2 months ago I wouldn't have even come close to a double, possibly 1 more rep there too. A pb last week and a rep pb this week, starting to believe I can hit 240-250 this year!

Good stuff! I also would like 250 by the end of the year, but I'm not sure I believe it will happen...

Cheers Nick whats your dead PB? think im going to try the coan routine, just need to read up on it more, either that or keep doing what im doing but twice a week like i will be for squat and bench.
