OH Day
Just a quick OH session

Bar x 6 Strict
60 x 8 Strict
80 x 4 sort of strict
100 F couldn't get the leg drive
60 x 8 Strict
90 x f,1,f,f couldn't sync the legs and shoulders apart from the 2nd rep
90 x 4 PB felt very good
60 x 8 Strict apart from last dip

Decent enough after being ill yesterday, feels a lot better pressing in sleeves and wraps for the 1st time, and no elbow pain!

180 x 2 Rep PB 1st rep was a peach got my line wrong on the second and good morninged it!

Would have liked to do a fair bit more as it was all comfortable, but my elbow was screaming by this point

look after them elbows ! i used to get terrible tendonitis (well, not terrible but HURTY)

whats your best strict press ? i prefer push presses but its nice to test the strict max every now and again

Recently its 80k standing, but have done 100k seated in the past! Not much difference in my strict and PP as I don't get much leg drive, but the technique is improving!

Will wear my elbow sleeves next squat session, didn't think I'd need them as I wasn't going heavy, I did need them!!!

Know any tips for ridding onesf of tendonitis? Apart from icing

09/05 Bench

Warm up stuff

120 x 3

All felt very easy, technique was pretty good, very good bar speed!

140 x 1 failed 2nd rep, 1st was an absolute peanut, lost it on the 2nd

160 x F lost my legs on the descent and nearly lost the bar, got it off the chest and then died, spotter just touched the bar and it went up, will happen soon!!!

Some tricep stuff!

Very happy with the session! A much needed confidence booster after being very down on my lifting lately!

Tendonitis is a t**t mate just high rep stuff and keep massaging the elbow is about all you can do. Oh and ice like you said. If your prone to get it then it will just reappear every now and then. Try keep them warm when exercising etc.

Good amount of volume in here mate just starting powerlifting myself so will be good to keep an eye on how others do it Happy

Your not wrong mate, I just got some of the thor sleeves from buzz and they work great, although I reckon its because they are so tight they make the arms hurt more than the elbows!

Since I started the journal I've decided to look at doing some strongman just trying to get stronger at the moment, then some events training.

I've done the reverse gone to powerlifting from strongman I tore the ligaments in my ankle so moving events are a no no Unhappy

The elbow sleeves are pretty good for PBs haha

Don't tell everyone haha, the tendonitis us an elaborate ruse!

Hope the ankles stay good, with your numbers it should be a good move!
