Its passable Jack and that's about all I can say about it, very low on confidence with my deads at the moment, I set my PB within a few months of starting deadlifting and its stayed there since, think ill have another blast on saturday and see what level I'm at regarding a PB, if I could do 200 I'd be reasonably happy!

im not one for advice sluggers but i wud suggest 5's mate 8sets of 140x5 wud serve better than 8x160x2


i had s**te form on my deadlift for ages but refused to lower the training weight this was a s**tty idea until i lowered the weights and built upto a big 3 or 5

start at 60 and do 10kg increments upto 150-160 for 5 or 3 after looking at your vids the other day i think less weight more reps would suit yourself jus my opinion Grin

I train at northern fitness in linthwaite mate, no strongman gear but it suits well enough at the moment. I'm not going to wembley but a lot off lads I know are, I'm a liverpool fan so am only really a fair weather town fan.

You could well be right V man, ill finish up this cycle which will be 8 x 3 at the last week, then see where I am. I've been looking at the coan routine, don't really want to keep chopping and changing if I can help it, going to have an eztra deads session tomorrow, and try and work on my address position and keeping my hips down to utilise my leg strength.

All very comfortable, liked these one to keep!

A reasonable session, felt stiff as a board before I started so fairly happy. Would have tried more on the 180's but wasn't too keen without a spotter!

I done forgot to give myself a shiny new PB on the 180 don't think I've repped more than 160 before, think I snapped all o my s**t up though, and a damn strange pain in my lower leg!

21/05 Bench

Back was a bit tender still so decided to bench flat back

40 x 12 x 2
60 x 10
100 x 5

120 x 3
120 x 3
120 x 3
120 x 3
120 x 3
120 x 3
120 x 2
120 x 2

Bar speed was very slow but everything was still pretty comfortable

130 x 4 Spotter touched last rep but i had it anyway

140 x 1 nice an easy
140 x 1 Again no great speed but never in danger of failing
140 x 2 Spotter touched 2nd rep, unplanned 2nd so surprised him

Not a great session but pleased to be able to press 3 plates comfortably on a bad day.

well, 3 plates for 2 after a million sets of 120. seems pretty good to me Happy

Definitely cant complain mate, used to have nightmares when i 1st tried pressing 3 plates a few years back.
