Deadlifts were abysmal today couldnt get going at all, deadlift for reps doesnt look good for Northerns

Where is your SSM2 write-up John? Well impressed with your performance, looking on track for the 105s.

SSM2
Axel Deadlift
250kg (30kg pb)
260kg (pb)
270kg fail
I was really happy with these because in the warm up I couldnt get my straps right with the suit on and couldnt pull 205 , so I scrapped the suit and was going to do another warm up didnt have the time, I began to think this could be a bad day and but went out and nailed the 250, 260 was tough but smoove enough and 270 was a step too far although thinking about it now should have hitched it
Overhead Medley
120kg log (piss easy)
130kg axel fail
I knew beforehand that realistically I would only get the log as I havent attempted any of the other parts of the medley, I managed to get the axle to my chest eventually but by then I was f**ked and had nothing left to press with
Medley - Frame Carry/tyre/duck walk
280kg Frame Carry for 20m (pb)
330kg tyre 2 flips
Never attempted the frame carry but was surprised at how quick I was going with it, my grip let me down abit and I had to do 3 or 4 pickups, by then I felt f**ked and couldnt get going with the tyre but again happy with this event
Medley - Anvil and battery
165kg anvil for 20m
130kg batter for 20m
The anvil was surprisingly easy, I was expecting it to feel much heavier, the battery was just really ackward to get hold of but once I lapped it was able to get it in a good position, probably should have gone abit further with this
Atlas Stones
110kg
120kg
135kg fail
I was just hoping to get the first one as the platforms were so high and was abit gutted about the 135 in the end as I just missed it, tried to pick it up again but tacky had gone
Overall was happy with what I did and was good to put names to faces, think this was good prep for the Northerns under 105s and I should do well at it as long as I sort out my arm over arm, feel f**ked now and will have a day or two rest then it back to training for GPC comp in 3 weeks and then northerns soon after that

Great performance mate. Kudos for stepping up to a tough comp at late notice. Shows proper spirit and what it should all be about IMO.

Incline Bench
60kgx10 5 sets
Bench
60kgx10 5 sets
12 minutes on Treadmill
Shouldnt have bothered to train really as I was still aching from saturday but was bored sat at home doing nothing
Ive got a powerlifting qualifier in just under 3 weeks and then northerns 2 week after that so need to start nailing everything now
My targets are to hit a 740+ total at the powerlifting qualifier and to finish top 6 at the northerns strongman comp, if this doesnt happen, then beating JC will do
Plan for this week is
Wednesday - Deadlifts
Thursday - Stones & Farmers
Friday - Bench & log
Sunday - Squats, Arm Over Arm & Yoke/Duck Medley
