London 2012 - What You Remember ???

It's been about a year now . What sticks out in your mind about the games .
I remember about 7 of us watching Peter Wilson doing the shooting event start to finish . As customers were coming in I was saying f**k training mate ! watch this !!
This ginger f**k who I've never heard of ! Is gonna win a gold medal for a country we all complain about BUT it feels like the best day of my life !!! So let's roll with it !!
Ilins performance still effects my every day life !
"MO" guy was f**king ace but I've forgot his name ..
Another ginger won a jumping one .
That's it !
Oh and Steiner nearly cut himself into two people !

It still annoys me you can win medals by having the best bike or fastest speed boat !!

I also remember the weather being too hot and I had to wear a suit. in addition to this there was a chunk of Manchester with a big tv showing the Olympics and I didn't walk through it because I thought you had to pay to get in or something and it later turned out that you didn't.
then there was the bit where it wasn't subjected to terrorist attacks even though a person said it would be.
err, it very briefly made me want to sprint but this was discontinued when it turned out I didn't have any trainers.
I was really into divine heresy around that time.
I watched the diving and a man got a second attempt because too many people were taking pictures of him and the flashes distracted him.
the additional GDP growth stimulated by the Olympics never found its way to restoring the trellick tower which consequently is in poor condition

I think my biggest memory was the opening ceremony and thinking how f**king awesome it was!!
Mo Farah doing the double was definitely a highlight as was Jessica Ennis being awesome and "fit as" at the same time and the cycling was something to behold.

the closing ceremony very nearly made me kill myself
Going to watch the beach volleyball at horse guards parade with the mrs. Cracking nights entertainment that was!
